I think the UFC should have an Open Weight tournament like the old days. Maybe just a one time event. I'd pay to see it
Anybody have any thoughts?

I would love to see it, but I feel like that would be like the NFL going back to leather helmets for a game....just kidding.

What is with everyone's obsession with Cro-Crop?

I hope Gonzaga upsets him just to shut everyone up.

So, technically, wouldn't the #1 fighter in the world win the hypathetical grand prix?

This isn't college football. It doesn't matter how you rank him, he needs to prove it in the octagon.

If he fought in the UFC he would. Maybe they should have an Open tournament... Open everything! Not restricted to Pride or UFC?

^ No technicalities. The number one fighter in the world would win this. And I am not really in the mood to post an essay so in plain words....The Old UFC's are fun to watch and all, but at that time it was a one dimensional fighter vs another one dimesional fighter, so weight wasn't much a factor, but rather the more skilled and the better displine. Now, with well roundedness, weightclasses are HUGE. If you don't believe me, watch the Pride OWGP of last year.

I don't know if that is still legal in the United States. If it is I would pay double for that paper view.

Rich Franklin
Fedor Emelianenko
Georges St. Pierre
