Randy picks Gonzaga to win?

Source ufcmania.com

“I see Gonzaga bursting through, getting his hands on Cro Cop, and putting him on the ground and keeping him there. He probably submit him from there.”

– UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture predicts that Gabriel Gonzaga will defeat Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic at UFC 70 later on today as told to FightNetwork.com. Couture is slated to face the winner of the bout.

I think Randy knows Cro Cop's gonna come out with his hand raised and used that interview to play with his mind a little bit quite a way's before their fight.

Or maybe Randy is just giving Gonzaga's ground game that much respect!

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

Randy wants to fight Gonzaga because Randy can handle his ground game and Gonzaga is not better then Randy on his feet.

Randy has stated numerous times that Mirko was one of the main reasons he decided to come back to the octagon. He probably gave his prediction on how Gonzaga could win the fight. The guy knows he doesn't have many fights left in him at 43, he wants to fight top competition. And come on, a pay day against Crocop > one against Gonzaga.

True, but maybe now since he is Champion he wants to keep the Title. He defenitaley has a better shot against Gonzaga.
