UFC is no where near the level of wwe. UFC is about the real fight and the wwe isnt.

Not a chance!

It would be a good thing though, however, if the WWE would finally pull their heads outta their asses and mimic the UFC. UFC is still the WWE's biggest competition.

But they are concerned with making "movie stahs" now rather than anything that might even remotely look like wrestling.

UFC = MMA (such an amazing sport)

WWE = Complete Garbage with horrible actors.

Take a lesson from some of the veterns like Coutoure, and Mirko. You are here to fight, and act like a professional and role model not a whinny baby. done my rant, any thoughts?
All of the bad blood makes fights more interesting.

i agree a little drama does, but also starts loosing appeal when is as comman as it has become. when tito vs ken was going on it was something that drummed up attention and made me wanna watch more for sure. just seems to be too much of a focus these days. gets kinda played out

good point

I think it is somewhat necessary for UFC to succeed. For most "normal people" (not including us, because we are into MMA enough to post on MMA forums) want some background story to add to what they are watching. Most excitement from events (fights, wrestling) comes from watching how events unfold in a storyline. If you watch a fight and had no idea who they are and what they think of each other, you would not really care. Your level of involvement (including anticipation) in the event increases as you learn more about how they feel, what the importance of the event is, and how it impacts other aspects of a person's life. Not that UFC is turning into WWE, it is that WWE learned long ago that this aspect of audience participation is needed for people to care.

When I say most of everybody in mma hates him it's fact same thing goes for a guy like Hughes. If their outside the camp the can't stand the guy.

Mainstream sports have no hate? Ever watch Kings/Laker, Leafs/Senators, Avs/Wings, Red Sox/Yankees? So don't make random comments. All pro sports have their even share of a-holes and class acts (Diego/Randy). It's a fight! If your going to punch someone in the head or try to break their arm or choke them into submission your going to be a little mad. They really can't focus on the sport itself. They have to sell their fighters and market them. People need to know names when watching it, like a Lidell or Rampage. The UFC won't become a fad because of this, mainstream audiences will know fighters.

Deep breathes man, just talking nothing to blow an oring about. First you made some good points. i agree there is lots of hate in sports. Just think is becoming all too common that fights are billed as "bad blood". ie/ hughes vs serra, and now tito vs rashad. ya they are aholes but it is Dana who bills the fight with it. focus more on athetic side of it and less on drama. bad feelign we are only going to see more and more of it as UFC becomes mainstream. hell we all saw the Tito vs Dana, shit ala Vince vs Austin in WWE

Tito/Dana is bullshit man. It does nothing good for the sport of mma. Every Tito fight he stirs it up, but I'm allready sick of Ortiz. Who bets he wins over Rashad by split decision, lol?

GSP did the whole you are a great champion and will be back. After Hughes laughing at GSP losing though, I see it going the other way.

Yeah I agree with the Tito v Dana thing being bullshit. I mean how professional is fighting one of your employees? Good hype but a move in the wrong direction.

How long have you been watching the UFC, threadstarter? Because it's been happening a lot longer than just the last 3 PPVs.....but I will admit it is getting a little worse as of late.
