Yea I dunno, but I don't think he really cuts any weight for 155, so he could maybe make 145 by cutting water. I could be wrong tho.

However I think both Pablo Garza & George Roop are taller than or at least as tall as Nate. And Roop even fought at BW.

No way Nate can make 145, he talks about how he hates the cut to 155. He is talking about WW. He is still young, I wonder if he can add some muscle and add some pop to his punches like Nick.

Oh ok, didn't know he cut alot for 155, but then again like I said there are ppl his size at 145 and even 135 so it should be possible.

Bolded: that would be his best option, but it doesn't seem like the Diaz brothers believe in that type of training at all. I would love to see it tho, a bulked up Nate at 170 could really do damage.

Eh people's bodies are different though. Just because Roop can make the cut doesn't necessarily mean that Nate can.

Bad idea for Nate. He's a top 5 lightweight but wouldn't be a top 15 welterweight. There are too many guys in that division that are absolutely terrible matchups for him.

One thing I about Nate I have concluded is that the saying, "match ups make fights" applies very heavily to him. He has a great talent set and has made some very good mixed martial artists look amateurish but on the flip side he has looked every bit as inept as some of the the great fighters he has bested.

Not saying he can beat bendo right now, but I know he can put up a better fight than he did. In my opinion, he is still young enough to keep improving at a nice pace. Unless Gilbert wins, I don't see why he doesn't believe he can work his way up and there and be better next time?

The Aldo/Pettis situation is weird. But who at 155 can he not beat? Nate can sub or out strike Maynard, it has been done already. He beat Miller and Cerrone. Dos Anjos? Healy? Lauzon? TJ Grant? I think he would be favored in all of those fights.

With the departure of Frankie and Pettis. And stalemate with Alverez....the LW division has got thinner. Other than Bendo and Gilbert, I don't see a fight he can't win.

It makes sense if Melendez wins, there is not much point in someone as good as Nate sticking around in a division that he wont fight for a title in.

Yes ofcourse, I have no idea if he could make the cut or not, if he's already hating the cut to 155 then he probably can't. I'm just saying that I don't think it's that far fetched that he could make it, since he wouldn't be the biggest guy to do it.

I'd still rather see him put on some muscle & train a hell of alot of wrestling and do a run at 170, I just don't think he can make much noise there in his current state.

This just reminds me of the entire BJ Penn obsession with WW. The grass will always be greener, Nate. You are not built for WW at all. You will get rag dolled. Do not do this. That is all.
