The guy has 1 TKO (where he was never really out) and he was dropped once and he has a "weak chin". The UFC threw it's three best boxers at him (Alves, Penn, Hardy) and he defeated them handily.

GSP has little to know ground and pound, his power is his boxing and his jab. He takes guys down but he doesn't finish them on the ground, gnp comes from guys that tend to be you know massive.

Third part, wow that's a grammatical nightmare, really don't know what you are saying there. If you are saying GSP will be taken down...great Hendricks isn't finishing him with gnp, he finishes guys standing up with those hooks. Also GSP isn't afraid of being taken down, Koscheck took him down, I believe Shields did as well, it meant nothing. What happens to guys after that first round with the take down, they gass out and George jabs them for 20 minutes and a win.

Johny Hendricks has earned a title shot, hell I would argue he deserves a title due to the shenanigans of the last year. But he's likely going to lose to Georges in a really bad fight.

I'm a supporter of Hendricks but he is in the wrong here, GSP can fight Silva and still defend the title at WW afterwards. Hendricks won't beat GSP in my opinion either when they fight.

tricky spot as GSP has more than earnt the right to chase a superfight with Silva if he so wishes.

but if i was Hendricks, and I had beaten who I'd beaten, I'd feel entitled to a title shot on the back of those wins.

i'm not bothered where the UFC goes with this, as a fan both fights interest me anyways.

Hendricks nor anyone for that matter (as long as your name isn't GSP or Silva) aren't entitled to anything when we're talking about the super fight of all super fights.

He was entitled a crack at Carlos Condit, who wanted the money of the GSP fight.

He was entitled the first shot at the unified belt, but Nick Diaz peed in Georges poutine.

Shane Carwin is an interim UFC champion, Johny Hendricks has done literally three times the work Carwin's done.

Also...I think every division is better when they have three to four "active" former champions.

GSP got rocked April of 2007 (over 6 years ago?) can we get passed the chin incident??? he has been hit plenty and not been TKO'd since, GSP has never been KO'd.

His top control is second to none, if Johnny gets taken down, it could spell trouble

I don't get how everyone is writing off Hendricks so quickly, sure GSP is a dominant champ but Johny is anything but a scrub, he showed he's world class against Condit. This isn't Bonnar vs. Silva

I agree with Hendricks on this one. He has more then earnt this shot. He has won six fights in a row and none of the guys he beat are easy opponents. He beat TJ Waldburger who is an upcoming prospect, Mike Pierce who is probably one of the most unheralded fighters at 170. Then add in wins over Fitch, Kos, Kampmann and Condit. So in my honest opinion if Dana wants to do George vs Anderson then he has to vacate the belt.

That made me laugh.

The crocop win came after Gonzaga and Kongo took CroCops heart away. After those fights the only wins that CroCop got were against C class opponents... not even B. So even though you tried to make the CroCop win sound more impressive... it actually isnt. Hell i think CroCop was the most motivated in his last fight in the UFC against Roy Nelson.
