I thought Bendo clearly had it. But I knew it would be close to most people because of the hair. It is like Guida, you think they get hit more or harder because the hair moves and exaggerates it all.

You can't get robbed on a fight that close, it was a coin flip decision.

"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man."

There was no robbery. The entire fight was pretty much a toss up. I had it scored 2 to 2 going into the 5th, Bendo won the 5th. But..., it wouldn't have been shocking if Gil was called the winner. To anybody to says it was a robbery, if you don't understand that the challenger has to beat the champ decisively to win a decision, then you're a moron. It is rare that the challenger beat the champ by split decision. Honestly, after the fight was over, I almost wished that Bendo would lose. Nothing against Bendo, after seeing the fight, I just knew that every moron on every forum everywhere would cry robbery if Bendo won.

Funny, I had Gil winning the 1st then Bendo dominating the fight afterwards.

I had a couple beers but I wasn't that many in. I'm surprised people thought Gil had it, let alone won more than the first round.

I wouldn't say "robbed", all rounds except 1 were extremely close. However I personally scored it for Gil.

I would define a 'robbery' as a situation where a fighter who clearly lost the fight won on the judges scorecards.
I wouldn't say this counts as a robbery because every party has admitted that the fight was very, very close. I personally scored it for Melendez but it's not a ludicrous argument that Henderson won, and there's actually a pretty convincing case for it. Look at everyone's scorecards on this forum, they're all over the place.

I thought Benson had Rd 2, 4 and 5, I felt like 2 and 3 could have gone either way but 1 was clearly for Gil, 4 was for Benson, and 5 was likely for Benson.

I'll say this though Gilbert Melendez lost that fight, Benson made the moves to score points, he was the one shooting for tds trying to finish the rounds in dominant position. Gilbert was "aggressive" in that he was moving forward but he really wasn't doing much to cement each round.

Close fight to watch. The thing is if Melendez would've just kept up his pace from the first 1 1/2 rounds he probably would have won but he got passive. Even with him being passive, it was close. I guess after the eye test the next thing you look at are the stats which Henderson wins.
