DC is a cool cat, I love how he compained about Herb drying them off, "hurry up, I dont want him to get a rest!" Shows that he is a thinking fighter.

Listen, he's a wrestler, wrestlers are the most bad ass fighters out there, but they do struggle with the crowd at times because they can control the pace of the fight. They can slow it down when they want to. Daniel will get better-- or he may just be a boring fighter who wins, either way I think he brings a lot to the UFC.

It's common thought to assume a Frank Mir fight will get finished one way or another. Also his idea of just pulling Mir into the fence and sort of standing there was boring, unexciting, uneventful, and it didn't look like he wanted to finish. There's a reason why they kept getting pulled apart. It was like doing L&P but against the cage instead of on the ground. I for one was extremely bored and underwhelmed during the fight.

But I obviously understand Cormier wanted to just get the W and play it safe. But unfortunately for him, a lot more than W/L record gets taken into account when handing out title shots.

I don't know.... Comrier threw some heat up against that fence to the face a body. Mir took more then most people want to give him credit for imo. I don't buy the Cormier never tried to finish talk, he fought safe and smart, but that doesn't mean he didn't throw a lot of very nasty strikes Mir's way.

Yeah they showed one of the those super slow mo replays where Cormier landed with a solid left against the cage that couldn't have landed more flush. Surprised Frank didn't take a knee, although I think he thought about it once.

Didn't like Cormier going in, don't like him any more or less now. I still think all the hype is very, very premature.

The only thing I dislike about Cormier is the fact that some folks believe that he deserves a shot at Jones, and that isnt really his fault. The skill level goes up when you go down in weight, I would like to see him actually earn his title shot before people start proclaiming him the guy to dethrone the champ.

Cormier would have swarmed him if he had. He was also being held against the fence unlike most guys who clinch again the fence Cormier was actually holding him up against it.

Knocking out Bigfoot and dominating Mir and Barnett doesn't impress you? You must not be impressed by very many HWs then.

I meant taking a knee because his brain was jumbled, not for some kind of strategy. Just to be clear.

Most of the criticism of Cormier is laughably unjustified.
