Holy shiyut. So it just shows that you can pay your fighters properly and still make loads of money.
Theres going to need to be another Tito or Randy that publically comes out against the ufc over these pay issues at some point again in the future. UFC fighters it seems are getting paid peanuts. Matt Brown just won his sixth in a row right? and he's only getting $30K to show?
Maybe its a combination of bad management and fighters signing crappy long term contracts. I'd like to think if I won six in a row in the UFC I'd be getting close to being a millionaire. Out of Matts 60K, whats his bottom line after tax, travel, training costs and paying off coaches? $20K from his employer? And Matt Brown must be pretty well known now after a few Fox performances.

With a 200,000 salary for Frank Mur I could really see him getting cut with high pay and there new strict cutting policy. Espicially if he has any more boring fights that he loses.

Also Figured Nate Diaz would make more than 15,000 seems a little low for him.

It has to be a typo, he made 50 grand for his fight before that. Or he figures with the millions he's made on bonuses why bother with the contract pay.

Well he made 50g BEFORE he signed a new contract coming into the Bendo fight. Not saying something is fishy and this could just be a typo, but maybe he new contract has some shady fine print deal to give the manager/Cesar Gracie the money or a cut first. Kind of like how the UFC had to pay Golden Glory before say Overeem and they would cheat him out of a chunk of cash.

The news on the street is that this is a typo. Like previously stated, Nick made 50k/50k in his last fight. He renegotiated his contract after his last fight which is rumored to be 75k/75k.

Makes sense...

Gilbert Melendez made more based pay than the UFC champion, interesting.

The $30M figure is correct, but it was revenue, not profit.

I'm not saying they were 100% losing money, but EliteXC spent $32M in one year (2007) with fewer shows (eight) and far fewer fighters.

Some people think that they can convey either a philosophy on life or a complex political statement using a signature on the internet. I'm not one of them.
