Just how awesome is the featherweight division at the moment...

You have Conor McGregor, Chad Mendes, Frankie Edgar, Hacran Dias, Rony Jason, Ricardo Lamas, Clay Guida, Bermudez, Brandao, Zombie, Koch, Anthony Pettis, Hioki, Siver... Swanson and Poirier and the champ Aldo. This division is just so stacked at the moment. It's most certainly the "new Lightweight division" out there. Those guys should make an impact throughout the year... so many talents and big fights to be made.

Yeah, FW is really stacked with talent right now. And there's a lot more of that over at Bellator.

It truly is awesome, so Dana has wasted no time in giving guys from another weight class free title shots before everyone who actually makes the division awesome.

I love where the 145 pound division has gotten to in the past couple of years in UFC and elsewhere, but especially UFC. That was a stagnant division for a while there.

I think some are exagerating the talent level here I think Edgar, Guida, Mendes, Petties and maybe Zombie are a step above the rest mentioned.

A big step up from a year ago? yes, the new LW? hold your horses guys.

The LW's that have dropped in weight havent had great success (Pearson, Tyson Griffin, Joe Stevenson, Cole Miller, Edgar and even Guida didnt look very good in his win against Hioki). I feel like FW is a much more talented division.

Only thing that sucks is Pat Curran isn't in the UFC and fighting the best they have to offer. I think he is the #2 in the World right now.

Curran is for sure top five, but I feel like Mendes destroys anyone not named Jose Aldo right now.
