What's Next For Nate Diaz?

He looked rail thin at the weigh-ins.

It sounds like he's moving back up to WW as I can't imagine that's a fun weight cut.

I was thinking maybe the UFC should give him a fun fight ...maybe vs Dan Hardy (if Hardy is still game)?

He doesn't seem to fight into any weight class. What do you think is next for him? And/or what would you like to see?

Yea, I'm a big believer in making fun matchups that will produce a show, over always going by rankings.

I'd like to see him stay at LW, unless that cut is just too much these days.

At LW matches with Noons, Sanchez, or Ross Pearson seem like fun fights.

At WW yea, Hardy would be cool.

Considering Gil "lost" as well I think Diaz might stay at 155. Maybe Masvidal or Pearson?

I would like Edson Barbosa vs Nate Diaz. If Makdessi can't make it to the show in July, I think that would be a good fight.

Didn't surprise me at all that Diaz lost, thought Thomson was going to win anyway. When Diaz said about not really wanting to stay at 155 it was obvious he was going to lose the fight

I don't think the Diaz bros have the motivation to fight anymore, wouldn't be surprised if they are both retired by the end of the year

I think with Ross Pearson seemingly on the rise and Diaz on a decline it seems like the timing is right for that fight and that it stylistically could be lot of fun. If that isn't in the cards KJ Noons would make a great fight and there is some history there and bad blood so its an easy sell.

Those are two great suggestions as well. The Noons Diaz heat would be kinda fun.

I dont really think that Nate is on the decline, I just think that there is a readily available blueprint for beating him (or nick for that matter). Thomson is a crafty vet who had the right skill set to give him fits.Fights with guys like Pearson, Noons, or anyone who cant wrestle will still favor Nate.

Hopefully retirement, I'm sick of that whole camp.

This would be a good one! There's tons of fights for Nate at 155. If he wants to go up, prolly won't be a good idea unless he puts some muscle mass on his frame, but 2-2 aint that bad.
