I watched him totally dominate Cro Cop and could not help thinking, is this guy the next big thing. What if Gonzaga totally dominates Randy in his Title Shot. If this guy has another great performance i would really like to see him fight Fedor. It just seems like this guy is so well rounded.Your Opinions.

I love Napao (I think most people know that by my sig bet) but I still think he's just a good fighter that is built like a tank. The man is physically strong and is tough to handle in the clinch and on the ground. I think he will have his ups and downs in the UFC. By no means is he the best Heavy weight but he is a top level fighter.

I'll tell ya this, his physical stats on paper don't do him justice, that dude is a monster.

Tel ya the truth, If Gonzaga wins the title, I wont know what to think, I'd have mixed emotions about it. I'd feel glad for him and his career, but would feel bad for him also cause no MMA crowd is going to give this guy respect, I mean compared to their heros faces already, he will be great, but like Anderson Silva, he will always be outshined by the common faces of the UFC in the Heavyweight division.

He is for sure the real deal, but dont kid yourself on this one performance. If Crocop can come back strong and adapt to the Octagon, then if he is on form he will cut GG down. He looked ill prepared to fight, i know the press conference and other pre-fight commitments distracted him but he looked half assed all night. There is no explanation that seems valid because we expect so much from him. For now though GG is the one to fear, Werdum, Arlovski, Sylvia and yes, even randy had better fear this guy.

IMO Big Nog is the man to test him, lets face it if you can beat him then youre a legit bad ass and worth a title shot in any organisation. And when he gets too good for anyone Dana can offer - feed him to Fedor

I'd say he is the real deal for sure. You could've asked me yesterday and I would've told ya i put Napao in the top 20 heavyweight range, and that Mirko is gonna KO him out............ He "cro copped" Cro Cop...I literally spit beer outta my mouth. That kick was so vicious, literally one of the most vicious looking head kicks I've ever seen. The guy is the real deal. How many people (besides Fedor) has caught Mirko's body kick and dipped him? I can't think of any. Plus he bloodied Mirko up from inside his guard. Man was I impressed with Napao. His entire gameplan has brilliant. His footwork to stay away from Mirko's lead left leg, perfect. Has anybody ever controlled the pace of a fight with Cro Cop likes this? I mean Mirko backed up at some points and that NEVER happens. Napao threw nice right hands on the feet, one caught Mirko quite flush actually. And his body kicks were strong. If that was someone other fighter, and not Mirko that he fought, we all would've said that Napao just ran a clinic. Well guess what? He did on the #2 heavyweight in the world. Can Napao continue to fight this well? only time will tell. But if what we saw last night was what we will do on a continual basis, HOLY SH*T, we gotta a new heavyweight champ, and quite possibly the one to dethrone Fedor. Man, I just saw the kick again. Beautiful, look at the snap he got with it. Picture perfct, textbook high kick. Congrats, Napao

come on now dont get carried away. Beating a shadow crocop doesnt mean hes gonna dethrone Fedor. Not a chance in hell of that happening. Fedor never slips up and is always fully prepared for each fight. Crocop just wasnt at the races yesterday
Read boy...... I said if last night wasn't a fluke and he is that good, then we "MIGHT" (if nobody told you what might means, it's like a maybe) find the one to dethrone Fedor. I never said it was gonna happen. I know who Fedor is and what he does. But he can't stay undefeated forever we all know that.

Oh and I like that every time a good fighter loses a fight he is supposed to win he is either A) overrated, glass-chin, washed up, or B) wasn't himself, mind wasn't their, injuries probably, maybe sick. How about giving the brazillian some damn f'n props jesus christ you people show no respect to some fighters.

Why wouldn't Cro Cop be ready for the fight? He's given a number one contenders match, and he shows up unprepared? Sorry, I just don't buy it. I mean, if anyone should of been unprepared, it should of been Gonzaga. He hadn't fought any top competition before and I'm pretty sure they said he had a twenty hour flight a few days before. Gonzaga looked like a big time fighter and until he shows any signs of weakness, I'm not going to assume otherwise.

Yes, he's the real deal. He proved it against Cro Cop when he punished him with elbows and then a taste of bittersweet irony courtesy of his right leg.

This doesn't change my opinion of Cro Cop any. He's still a great fighter. I make no excuses on his part. No one can say he did not look himself. He has only one expression, come on. Me come to ring, me kick yer head off. As he said himself, "everybody has a plan until they get hit," and he certainly got hit. Gonzaga scouted him well, waited for that kick and took him down, reigned down with those elbows. Mirko defended those off pretty well, but still a few sneaked in.

Gonzaga beating Mirko is a big deal, with a HK to the head, too. But now hix next test is Couture, the one man who expected Gonzaga to be the victor last night, when many didn't. Couture = prophet.

The guy demolished CroCop, who happens to be one of my favorite fighters. He had the perfect gameplan for CroCops stand up, circle left away from the southpaws strengths and lead with a straight right. He took him down and pounded the hell out of him when CroCop decided to kick. The fight never should have been stood up, Gonzaga was doing plenty of work and was well on his way to winning that round if not the fight. You could see it when Mirko stood up from being in guard, he looked demoralized. Something I have never seen from him. He just had no answer for what Gonzaga was bringing.

In a previous thread I said that people were looking past Gonzaga, it would appear I was right. The guy is a freaking animal and I look forward to seeing him fight more.

If he has another performance against Randy like he did against Cro Cop who is to say he can't beat Fedor(this coming from a huge Fedor fan). I Jsut could not belive how he dominated Cro Cop on his feet. He seems to be so well rounded.
