No Jones is not, reason being is that he's the champion of a division that has always been low in talent, but high in star power. It gives him the illusion of being a great champion, albiet you got to give the man credit where credit is due, he is nowhere near GSP, Aldo, and Silva who have been consistently challenged by people around their skill level or above.

We can draw a couple comparisons between Silva and Jones, both have fought Vitor, Chael, and Bonnar. Silva proved to be more dominant against the 3.

What jones needs to do is take a fight at heavyweight while the division sorts itself out.

How exactly did Silva prove more dominant against Sonnen than Jones?

I was thinking the same thing. Chael won a total of 5 rounds vs Spider. 4 in the first fight and 1 in the 2nd. He never led for 1 second against Jones.

He was more dominant against 2 out of the 3. Bonnar isn't exactly a fair comparison though Bones was a baby when he fought him.

Who here thinks Andy wouldn't crush Shogun in a flashier and more brutal way than Bones did? Who here thinks Rampage wouldn't get smoked worse by Andy? Bones has more name value with the notches on his belt but they really aren't better fighters most of them were way over the hill when he fought them. That isn't his fault but he should get credit for the fighter he beat at the time not what that fighter was 5 years prior.

We aren't ever going to really settle who is better Bones isn't in his prime yet and Andy is way past his so no matter who wins we can't see both of them at their best against one another to really settle it and even then they aren't exactly the of similar size.

Bones in on his way, but Anderson still leads. Lets remember Anderson in waay older and his performance is still impressive. Bones has a long way ahead for he is still very young. When Anderson retires will be open road for him.
PS: Man, Frankie Edgar does not belong to no P4P discussion. So many inconclusive results based on his endless dizzing circling around. Wasn't for his cardio, he would be probably joining Fitch out of UFC.

how do you define p4p? Frankie is a p4p beast if he's a natural BW going toe to toe with huge LWs like Bendo.

Bendo is the cloudiest champion, he's also huge for his division.

I think if Anderson and Bones both had the exact same frame, but they each kept their individual skills then Anderson would murder Bones. That = P4P IMO.

P4P can't be about weight, it just won't make any sense.

Go watch how each of them handled Vitor Belfort. If you are going to use Silvas finishes against top level wrestlers to describe his wrestling as a "glaring weakness"... then by the same token BJJ is Jones glaring weakness, right?
