This would be a great fight, I hope the UFC sets it up ASAP. The winner would undoubtedly be the no.1 contender.

Machida by deadly stuff.....or elusive tactical point fighting.

You're right although Machida got KTFO by Shogun in their rematch and also lost to an irrelevant Rampage Jackson after that one. You know when fights actually mean something.

And then he just beat the top contender Dan Henderson when Fedor, Shogun, and Feijao couldn't.

You know when fights actually mean something, which is probably why he's the number one contender and Shogun and Rampage aren't.

Not even Machida believes he is the true #1 contender, which is why he finally got off his ass after being called out by the real #1.

Cool fight.

Machida loses if he beats himself by being to hesitant and believing hes winning the point war by more incisive but less busy looking, judge pleasing work.

I don`t think Gustaffson can actually be dominant in this fight but can definitely win on decision.

His length might hurt him cause he`ll be exposed to longer retraction time when Machida can strike.

Seriously don't get it. He was already promised a shot after the Bader win then after Hendo.

Let them fight again and if the LHW title holder wins the rematch then Gustaf is next.

I've always said that Machida poses the most threat followed by Phil Davis at one point, but Gustaf takes the spot now. Phil Davis simply does not have the striking capabilities.

1.) Machida
2.) Gustaf
3.) maybe Glover
4.) Mousassi

Baked, not fried... the healthy choice.

Dana also said Gus was in line to get the next title shot and he's got a much better streak (second only to Jones) then Machida does.

Gus vs Machida makes perfect sense in every way and even more so when you consider Jones may be out for a while.

Yeah, yeah. I don't see a wrestler in that streak.
Have him fight one and he will be derailed.

Yeah sure let's hold off from having a legitimate great fight between two of the best fighters in the LHW division, robbing MMA fans again and have Gus fight Sonnen first because he's an elite wrestler and all that fancy jazz.
