I saw the Bones toe after he fixed it. Nothing broken, didn't look bad after the stitches. I think he could be back in that time.

What would be the timeframe for Machida vs Gus in your opinion?
I'd say September and i'm willing to bet 200K that the fight will occur in September if it comes to fruition|

6 weeks to heal (vacations)
1 month rehab
2 months traing camp,
maybe two for cardio reasons.
4 1/2 months tops.

McCall, Faber, Aldo, Nate, Nick, Lyoto, TBD, Hunt
Forever hanging in Anderson Silva nuts

That is an extremely optimistic best case scenario timeline. I'd prefer Jones not rush anything while Machida is fighting Gus as he requested.

Aldo vs Pettis is in Rio in August - I'd lean towards this card myself. It would be a good co-main to that big card that only hass two fights booked thus far.
UFC on FS1 is in August
UFC on FOX 8 is at the end of July

No way that fight would be a co main.
Machida vs Gus is one of the best main event possibilities available right now!

I'd far rather watch Machida v Gustaffson as a fresh new interesting fight, than Jones v Machida again. Don't see anyone beating Jones at LHW for the foreseable future, tbh.

Only downside is that I'd like to see Gus v Jones, which might not happen now.

Machida v Gus
Machida v Sonnen
Machida v Shogun 3

then maybe down to MW as that would open up lots of possibilities

This fight should def be made. Machida hasn't done enough to warrant a rematch with Bones. Gus has done enough recently to warrant a title shot, but more kudos to him if he doesn't want to wait a long time for Bones, when he may not even be the #1 contender. Fights like this should be made to make a true #1 contender, instead of UFC having guys not fight each other just so they can have a line of semi #1 contender's waiting in the wings.
