Franklin is long past his prime and I see Bisping taking this by pure volume of strikes and out-cardioing him.

Bisping is the better striker IMO but I would not be surprised if this went the distance. Franklin is a good name for Bisping to have on his record.

I doubt Rich will gas in the fight.

As good a fight as this is on paper, I hope it never happens. Two of my favorite fighters going at. If one loses, he gets knocked back down the rankings and will probably never get a title shot; if the other loses then, at 38 there's every chance he will call time on his career.

Am I talking shit? For some reason I have it in my mind that Rich often slows in the late 2nd/3rd round?

Am I remembering wrong?

He's famed for his conditioning mate.

His last win against Wanderlei went 5 rounds and he took an arse kicking in the second. He looked great in the 5th, even dropping Silva with the last punch of the fight.

Bisping probably edges with cardio, but imo not enough to be a deciding factor in the fight.

He is actually known for his Cardio. Part of his strategy tends to be to wear out his opponents and then pick it up in the last round because he knows he is in better shape. He did it in the Dan Henderson fight and IMO if he had 2-3minutes longer he would have finished it. Hell if Dan didnt poke Rich in the eye in the last round and slow him down Rich might have finished it there.

Yup. Franklin has ridiculous conditioning and he would have indeed won the Hendo fight if not for the eye gouge which actually cut his eye open pretty bad.

Yup, it was nasty... Hendo took a bit of his eye home with him!

It was definitely the laser precision that got Cung Le the KO, for me that isn't a power strike.
