That punch would have put out anyone in the MW division. Cung isn't a weak puncher like Bisping, then factor in the accuracy and Franklin being exposed from the kick, its devastating and not a question of Rich's chin.

Both of these fighters are hard workers, but Rich has more ways to win, he hits harder, has very solid submissions (and defense), and is probably the physically stronger and more imposing fighter. Bisping will not be able to wear Rich down at all cardio wise or lay on him. Rich will slow him down with heavy kicks and probably KO him in the 3rd.

I've been absolutely gutted to see the losses to Forest, Vitor and Cung Lao. I will forever support Franklin though.

Don't agree with that, whilst the accuracy of that punch would certainly KO many fighters i doubt the majority of top-10 HWs would expose their chins in such an obvious fashion. Rich sold his chin for a cheap kick there which i doubt Bisping would do.

On top of that, a solid chin should be able to take that hook without going limp, in my opinion.

Meh. This would be a bit of a step down for Bisping, in my eyes. I'd say Rich should fight Rousimar Palhares.

That was a really bad eye poke. Its amazing that Rich Franklin continued the fight and continued winning not just hanging in there.

Agreed. That wasnt a power shot BUT it was directly on the button.

That said it was not a weak shot either. Im not sure if Cung Le is right or left handed but when i throw a hook with my right hand it feels pretty powerful. Left hand not nearly as much.

It amazes me how much people overrate Bisping.
The idea of him KO'ing Rich (or anyone) is one of the most ludicrous things I've ever heard.

That being said, while I love Rich he is definitely past his prime and his chin isn't all that sturdy anymore. I think he is a more powerful and versatile striker than Bisping but Bisping holds in the edge in technique and speed. Cardio I'd say they are about even but Bisping did gas in the third round of his fight with Sonnen and looked like hell against Mayhem (who just happened to look worse).

I'd still say Rich takes a 29-28 decision.

Yeah, in spite of winning a lot of fights, I think Bisping is overrated by many also.
