As much as this seems odd, I'm pretty sure the dude wants to spend as much time with his family before he enters camps.

No matter what the world offer to you, the most important is to be close to your family. Great time with my boy . http://viddy.it/EoAZax

More unprofessional antics from Silva.

Not a shock given how many times he has disgraced the sport.

As he would say, 'he no hespect nothing!'

Thankfully after July 6th we'll have a new sheriff in town.

Anderson dones't care about this fight, plain and simple. He'll be at the big events, but that's it I'm sure. I also expect him to take his time and make Chris look foolish.

If Anderson would have never been signed by the UFC, whoever was the current 185lb champion (likely Chael Sonnen or Damien Maia IMO) would be ranked #1 in the world by most if not all sources.
Are you saying that if Sonnen or Maia were MW champ they would be ranked p4p number one in the world like Anderson is or that they would just be the number one MW? If it is the latter I really don't understand that theory. Anderson is the most dominant champ to have ever graced the UFC and if he wasn't around GSP and Bones would be the only two currently talked about. Certainly Sonnen and Maia have not been nearly as dominant even when facing lower competition.

I agree that the UFc brough a lot of fans to Anderson Silva, but I think he would have forced the world to recognize him. Had the UFC not signed him he surely would become unbelievable success in EliteXC or Strikforce or the last stages of Pride or Dream. Eventually the UFC would have been forced to sign Anderson since he would have clearly been even more dominant in those organizations than he was in the UFC.
