Who has made the biggest Impact ?

Biggest Impact? You kind of have to say Sylvia just because he has beat the best heavyweight in the UFC twice, even tho I hate him LOL

Another impact I think is Mike Swick, he's won his 2 fights in 2006 very decisivley.....hes going to make even a bigger splash by the end of the year, setting himself up for a titleshot in early 2007 if not before then

My thoughts exactly on Sylvia, I really hate the guy too. But, He has defied the odds twice this year and successfully defended his title. Swick got a nice win over Riggs, but we'll see in September who he fights and see what happens from there.

Bare in mind, he also beat Steve Vigneault at UFC vs Canada, just about as quick as he beat Riggs....with the newly patented Swickatine :) haha i love it

Steve who??? LoL j/k yeah he should breeze through the majority of the middleweights. The only ones in my opinion he has to worry about would be Loiseau, Silva, and Franklin. I think Swick would beat Leben now...

LOL yeah exactly, steve who? we wont see him again thats for sure.........Loiseau/Swick should be a good fight, if they go through with it, Leben, he would beat, because Lebens style is so similar to Diesel Riggs' style it would be a carbon-copy of it. As for Anderson Silva, only time will tell but I'm sure were gonna see those 2 get it on sooner than later too, prob for #1 contendership

Well, I know that Swick will be fighting Sept. 23rd, hopefully we will see the Silva v. Swick match-up then.

A few guys come to mind

1. Chuck Liddell - Defending his crown against Couture and sent him into retirement with a brutal 2nd Rd. KO , he also avenged his loss against Jeremy Horn at UFC 54 , defending his title 2x against 2 top fighters.

2, Georges St Pierre - He made Frank Trigg look like an amateur at UFc 52 , he was able to pull off a rather impressive victory over Sean Sherk and he was also able to beat a top P4P fighter in the world BJ Penn. He is finally getting his title shot that he rightfully deserves

5. Dan Henderson

I'd say Matt Hughes had a better year the GSP, if you all remember he BEAT GSP AND he beat the bets BJJ fighter in the world in Royce Gracie. I think so far i'd give it to Sylvia, i like syvlia just because hes always the underdog, but i think he's had the best year victory wise.

right on all counts........Only problem is, the question is who made the biggest Impact in 06.....Chuck has only fought once, and he did put the Natural into retirement, and St Pierre also only fought once, against Bj Penn
