I read it and enjoyed the well thought out content of it, as I'm sure most others did as well.

BJJ is not dead, instead it is as others here have described and is more defensive than offensive these days.

Oh I'm sorry. I didn't realize your ADHD set the rules for this thread. I'll try to keep all answers monsyllabic and provide pictures just in case the fancy words get all confusing. That work for you, champ?

Just no. BJJ isn't all submission all the time. When a fighter reclaims guard, that's BJJ. Hell, holding someone in guard is BJJ. BJJ is used more defensively now. When it was new in the US, it was better used offensively. Now, when it's used to attack, the opponent knows how to defend. At some point, it's just easier to land punches rather than lock onto a limb.

It's not my fault u don't know the history o mma, try looking it up on Wikipedia. Bjj is dead man, sorry. Or you can rattle off a top level mma fighter who won via armbar in the last two years.

Ah. It becomes clear now. You start a thread asking people's opinion about a subject just so you can tell them they are wrong and feel smart for a few moments.
