Why not, if he gets in the weight room, his frame can be had for HW. He can beat HW stiffs like Rothwell.

It's a good move for Vera, though i agree with the general sentiment that he could be rag-dolled against most of the larger HW's.

There's nothing left for Vera LHW.

This made me laugh, a lot.

Also, this is like the battle of the most mediocre fighters from their respective divisions. Its funny to think that there was a time when Rothwell was considered better (or higher ranked) then big country.

Not every fight has to be a #1 Contender fight. A fight is a fight, if you don't enjoy it, you're watching the wrong sport.

Some people like watching the big guys fight. I'd rather see Vera vs. Rothwell @ HW than any Bantamweight or Flyweight fight. Both guys will bring it since either is in danger of being cut. Fine fight.
