I was in no way implying that the moderators were not doing their jobs I am sure you guys have your hands full and cant catch everything as it happens. I was merely surprised at what appeared to be a very liberal set of rules.
not to take sides but evilhomer: i do wish you would give it a rest. I am sure you have more to add to this thread than some insults. I find that most mma fans have some interesting things to say even if some are less knowledgeable than others.
I think it took a lot of class for cbingham to apologize.
I just wish I could remember the name of that board I was banned for. I was only there two days and i was gone for slamming on tito the night of the shamrock fight. I do think that if a mod is going to ban someone or remove their membership they coudl atleast warn someone. kinda makes me think of em as a bunch of power hungry cowards. but i digress.
Now what were we talking about? :P

I do not believe the fights are fixed but i did feel at the time that the early stoppage was a nice way to ensure that tito not mess up and lose out on a cash in at the beginning of the year with Chuck.
I have wondered the same thing. It seemed to me they pulled Tito off Ken a little too fast. The announcers seemed to agree that Ken wasn't intelligently defending himself during a barrage of what was something like 5 blows. Not sure what Ken's game plan was there, but it didn't really look likewas knocked out or anything in my opinion I'd really like to see the two of them fight again.

As for fights being fixed, I have a DVR and was looking at a clip from a match from Ultimate Knockouts 4 that looked questionable. I'll see if I still have it and IF I DO, will create a new thread on the topic.

This is the last time I will reply to one of your posts.

First, what good does it do for you to be in this thread? you have made no actuall points, none. all you are doing is stirring up bullshit, so am I the ignorant one here?

Second, its funny that you call me a "dumb American" when you feed off of our culture, everything from music to movies to technology, the list goes on. If it was'nt for us dumb Americans we would not have this internet (developed by the US military) we would not have the UFC, or half the things that you create your personal identity with. So as for being a dumb American, yes I am, and I a god damn proud of it!

i havent seen ultimate knockouts 4 but theres a good chance i have the fight in my library if its on dvd. Some knockouts seem so impossible that you can believe they are fixed until you see other angles and the look on the guys face tells it all. I have seen knees to the solar plexes or right on the chin that made me think "Hmm that was kind of week."(like the one shamrock layed on kimo to lay him out.) but when you see from other angles you see the look on his face and say damn.
as far as the back and forth that is still going on. I was tempted to make a celine dion joke but i wont waist the time.

It will take me a lot of convinving to believe the fights are predetermined or fixed. I do believe that like in boxing some guys get a few cake walks to build their rep, but they still have to perform with the big boys. I thought that would be the case with Griffin because of his mic skills but he has proven to me that he is for real and deserves the respect he gets.(now if only he didn't look so much like opie) :P (and rich franklin looks like jim carey, but he kicks ass too)

Well put sir, well put. Of course like any business, they are going to make themselves look good and give their big name fighters some questionable fights, but like you said they still have to get in there and prove themselves.
Forrest does look alot like Opie Taylor haha, never thought of it like that, but he is a tough son of a *****.

This post has nothing to do with Tito's next opponent. It should be renamed.

As for his next opponent, I think he should fight Rashad. It owuld be a good match-up for Rashad because he would certainly have to finish Tito to win. And it would be good for Tito to fight someone as dominant as Rashad at determining where the fight takes place.

If Vera was really serious about his callout on Chuck Liddell then Tito would certainly be a good stepping stone for him.

Any other good ideas. I am quite surprised that Tito hasn't stirred anything up with anyone.

I would like to see Bisping fight at either the next UFC or the Fight Night on the 17th. He hasn't had great competition but has been impressive. I would be interested to see him fight some better competition. Maybe Hammill to get that settled. Or maybe an established UFC vet.

There are some good fights coming up to close out the year I just hope they live up to the hype.
