Sorry apparently he is just an american wrestler who wrestles like a european one. No idea why they keep going on and on about him being croatian if he is american. I have seen him fight before he has crap takedowns. You just don't need good takedowns to beat cans. Guys like Cain and DC would make him look like a joke grappling.

That said(surprise!) folkstyle wrestling at the HW level is absolute garbage....and mostly consists of two fat guys pushing each other out of the ring(which doesn't even score in stupid ass folkstyle) and resetting every 2 minutes.

Folkystyle is already unwatchable, but if you really want to claw your eyes out, go watch Cole Konrad "wrestle" in college.

No wonder Cole Konrad is a like a big fat real estate agent now or something. Dude would've been trash at senior level and in MMA he never would've been top 10.
adhafhahafafdhah too bad I can't rep you for that since I need to spread it around.

Stipe and Hunt would make sense but i dont think Hunt will ever fight again. His age and the severity of the infection.....lots of down time.

I imagined Roy would massacre Stipe. Was hoping Miocic would get the W but the Strue fight showed he wasn't nowhere near close to the top tier guy's. Happy for him.

Roy clearly came in out of shape... and that lost me 150 euros.

Bad fight, Roy was unfit and Stipe IMO lacks ability and confidence when under attack. JDS and Hunt would wreck him in the pocket, Velasquez and Cormier can bang with him with their wrestling to fall back on.

Roy isn't Champion material but he's the type of guy the division needs, a handful for anyone.

well said.

and I personally haven't seen a boring Roy Nelson fight. This one might have been the most boring though.

It's about time Roy either stopped eating McDonalds and started working out more, or give it up. He's turning into a human punching bag that gets a lucky KO.

Roy doesn't usually gas that quick. Might have been the early shots or might have been bad conditioning, either way Roy looked really bad.

Any fight that roy is losing he gasses in. Mir, jds, and now stipe.

This fight was a relative easy pick for me. Stipe has always had technical stand up. Even in the struve fight he was doing very well until those last 20 seconds where he got knocked out. Roy Nelson's kryptonite is a technical striker that has good foot work and can string together more then 2 punches. I thought roys only chance was to get him down cause hed win handily there.

Roy fought 6 weeks ago so its not like he could really be so out of shape he'd gas in the first round. He got hurt that is all.

Bendo | Aldo | Cerrone | Vitor | Fedor | Cormier
