He probably wasn't buying Shields fake striking. He might as well have been slapping Woodley with a feather.

I thought Woodley won the fight. He did far more damage with his strikes. Who cares if shields held woodley on the fence for more time if he didn't land a single damaging strike? Octagon control my ass.

I picked shields to win, after the third round there was not a doubt in my mind I had picked wrong, then they give shields the win and I could not have been more surprised. I guess I picked right but I sure thought woodley won that fight.

Not sure how they gave that fight to Shields? Shields pushed the pace the entire time, landed more (yeah less damage) but Woodley never did anything, he fell apart

Aggression is not a very meaningful scoring criteria outside of the dreaded "casual hardcores".

People who dont understand the sport despite following it.

I didn't see the fight but I just find the "Jake was coming forward!" nonsense pretty funny.

Its not even that Jake was just coming forward, he did more in the fight. Was he amazing? No, he was always throwing something pretty or not. Woodley on the other hand threw the big shots here and there and did nothing but let Jake push for takedowns.

Well let me break down the fight for you. Pillow hands did what pillow hands does pretend to strike and fail to get takedowns and Woodley hit him hard a couple of times and sprayed about 30 gallons of sweat all over the octagon.

Jake Shields got the win, good for him, but he sure does like to win ugly, doesn't he? I'm not complaining about the decision, in fact, I wasn't even able to watch the fight, but judging by the sounds of it, it wasn't a pretty win whether you agreed with the decision or not.

Still, good for him though. A win is a win after all.
