Pascal Krauss vs. Hyun Gyu Lim set for UFC 164 in Milwaukee

The UFC's August card in Milwaukee has added a hometown fighter to the lineup.

German-born Pascal Krauss (11-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC), a Milwaukee-based welterweight, will take on Hyun Gyu Lim (11-3-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) at UFC 164 later this summer.

UFC officials announced the fight on Tuesday night. The Krauss-Lim fight is expected to be part of the night's preliminary card.

UFC 164 takes place Aug. 31 at Bradley Center in Milwaukee with a main card on pay-per-view. Headlining the show is a lightweight title fight between Benson Henderson and top contender T.J.
Grant.

Krauss debuted in the UFC at the promotion's lone event in Germany, UFC 122. On that card, he picked up a "Fight of the Night" bonus for his unanimous decision win over Mark Scanlon. After 16 months off, he returned at UFC on FOX 3 and dropped a decision to John Hathaway before returning at UFC on FOX 6 in Chicago this past January with a win over Mike Stumpf.

Now he'll look to make it two in a row in front of his home city fans. The 6-foot-1 former boxer trains with the renowned Duke Roufus in Milwaukee.

Lim made his promotional debut at uFC on FUEL TV 8 in March, picking up a second-round knockout against Marcelo Guimaraes in Macau. The South Korean has won six straight fights. The five straight he won that led to him signing with the UFC all came in the first round. Lim has fought in the United States twice before, but his most recent visit, in 2009, also was his most recent loss at an M-1 Challenge event in Washington.

With the addition, UFC 164 now includes:
Benson Henderson vs. T.J. Grant - for UFC lightweight title
Josh Barnett vs. Frank Mir

Clay Guida vs. Chad Mendes
Erik Koch vs. Dustin Poirier

Ben Rothwell vs. Brandon Vera
Chico Camus vs. Kyung Ho Kang
Nikita Krylov vs. Soa Palelei
Tim Elliott vs. Louis Gaudinot

Derek Brunson vs. Yoel Romero
Magnus Cedenblad vs. Jared Hamman
Pascal Krauss vs. Hyun Gyu Lim

This card is shaping up to be really good. Kand and Lim both fighting.

I think Lim takes this fight

I think Lim can win this, but Krauss is no joke.

Krauss barely managed to beat Stumpf I think it'll be a good fight. But Lim will put him away early

I remember being really disappointed in how Lim looked in his first fight. Maybe it was just first fight jitters.

That said Krauss is really slow and not particularly good at anything, so I guess I'm picking Lim. Love the Korean fighters.

Lim was slow to get his timing down in his first fight. He probably had the jitters too
