Once he lost balance it put him in an exposed position which Bongfeild tried to capitalizae on and Weidman recovered fairly well.
I agree as well. He wobbled because he was on one leg and ate a kick to the face. That would make even BJ Penn wobble. He doesn't look hurt, just like he was trying to reset.

All I see is a super green Weidman taking a hard kick to the head, being in danger for around 1.7 seconds, before winning the fight.

How this can be taken as anything but positive for Chris is beyond me.

If anything, Weidman took that kick better than most. Didn't seem to be rocked at all?

*Checks who started the thread*

ohhhh, now this thread makes sense.

Actually, looking at it again, Chris had the nouce to block the second kick completely as he spun away. He wasnt rocked at all.

This.

There are at least three current Silva and/or Weidman-centric threads in which this assertion could have easily been posted.

Thread-fail.

If any kick connected here, definitely wasn't no flush. IF landed, because Chris was not wobbly in absolutely any time and the way he was intelligently escaping and covering proves he was 100% aware.

Did Silva get rocked by f'n Chael Sonnen? Everybody gets rocked, dazed or hit.. can't prevent that from happening. And it was his second fight in the UFC. If that kick matters in the fight with Silva, then the submission loses in Anderson's first fights have to be considered a big threat, seeing how good Weidman submissions are. It's a different fight, anything can happen and things like that are negligible.

P.S. - By the way Jesse is a damn good fighter. He has defeated guys like TJ Grant and Sean Pierson... FINISHED them! And the kick landed very good, for Chris to come back from that only shows he isn't that easy to finish.

I have 2 pet peeves, one is people that take any 1968-70 Dodge Chargers and make them into Dukes of Hazzard cars and the other is people giving credit to Seagal for showing Anderson that kick. Anyone with a yellow belt in just about any martial art knows that kick. And to give Seagal that kind of recognition just feeds his already bloated ego to levels on par with his bloated face. I thoroughly believe that Anderson and his buddies are punking Seagal and everyone but Seagal is in on it.

You can spin it any way you want to, but Weidman deserves the shot and he has the best chance of anybody at 185 to dethrone the king.

I'm as big an Anderson fan as there is and I'm worried about this fight.
