Didn't weidman get rocked by the "water bong"?

i mean bongfeld had him on wobbly legs and backpedaling, how will his chin hold up against a deity like silva? who is a master of seagal kicks with sniper like precision. also remember sakara was busting him up on the feet too. i say hes lucky to make it out of the 2nd. anderson via HK KO.

He doesn't look rocked to me. Looks like he was protecting himself from the other guy swarming him.

More importantly, was that guy's nickname really the water bong?

Will make predictions for credits. Please, I'm so broke.

I wouldn't use that as an example of no chin. the dude took a kick to the face and instantly recovered. If Silva starts connecting with anyone in the division, they're in trouble. that gif doesn't prove anything people already don't know. Silva connecting will be the end of Weidman's night. If this fight hits the ground, it's a different story.

RIP Jordan Corder. Watch over me from above brother.

I don't see any wobble legs. He was off balance from throwing a kick himself.

Once he lost balance it put him in an exposed position which Bongfeild tried to capitalizae on and Weidman recovered fairly well.

Decided to re-watch the Alessio Sakara fight vs Chris Weidman.

It was competitive the first round, and even though Weidman was dictating the 2nd and 3rd Sakara was still very much in the fight. I see some patterns in Weidman's game though even in his latter fights.

double leg shoot
loves the front guillotine when his opponents try to sprawl or are up against the fence
fairly aggressive, but that's because he's always looking to shoot
strong gnp
mediocre standup
conditioning looked solid for three rounds. I'd attribute it to his wrestling pedigree.
Fairly rangy.

He is a more powerful version of Chael Sonnen.

It should be an interesting matchup come July 6th!
