Everyone leaves, indeed, but the "above mentioned" league, although dominant fighters, no doubt about it, never counted with the versatility and creativiness of Anderson nor achieved his records, what leaves them far behind in any GOAT or P4P discussion, so I have to disagree Anderson departure won't be more important than theirs.
Honestly Anderson is no different to me than any of those guys. He's a great fighter that was champion for a long time, and he will leave as is the nature of the sport/life and that's that.

Fedor dominated his division for 10 years, he's gone, now we have Cain to watch and enjoy. When Anderson leaves he'll be gone and we'll have the next big MW that dominates.

This will happen time and time again throughout the sports history, it's really nothing all that special, to me anyways.

The point is Anderson will lose again sooner or later. And so will GSP and Jones.
I'm not saying he'll never lose but realistically there isn't anyone in the division currently that has the skillset to beat him, in a few years when a guy like Hendricks that's bigger comes along to MW.

There will always be more great fighters but will there ever be another Ramdy, Fedor, Silva....no and thats okay. We have dozens of Silva fights to re watch and see how bad ass that man really is. We will always have that.

Anderson is dominant and the P4P best right now. Fedor was dominant and considered by many to be the P4P best for many years in a division that normally isn't involved in the P4P discussion, he retired and that's that, we move on.

Chuck and Randy did more for this sport than Anderson ever has. Their fights put this sport on the map, helped grow it, two legendary fighters. The sport did not miss them as new fighters took their place and we moved on, as we will with Anderson.

Why would Anderson get special treatment when he leaves beyond what those guys got? He's done less for the sport than they have.
