UFC 162 Rumor: Middle Easy report

http://middleeasy.com/index.php?opti...Aorganizations

More than one source has told me Chris Weidman aggravated his shoulder injury in preparation for Anderson Silva at UFC 162. One source insisted that he will pull out of the event at some point this week, something that I find really hard to believe. Another source tells me if he does lose to Anderson, he will blame the loss on his shoulder.

Chris underwent shoulder surgery in November of 2012.

I'm not commenting on how true or false the report is, simply that Middle Easy decided to publish it.

I don't know if it's true, it is speculation. Middle Easy is not a site I associate with breaking this type of news though, the source is wafer thin. Given Chris just had shoulder surgery in November though, it is not entirely far fetched.

He is going to lose weather he has an excuse or not imo.

I'm doubting this rumor or at least hoping there is nothing behind it.

But for knowledge sake, I was wondering if anyone ever recalls Anderson pulling out of a fight in the UFC? He has had injury and taken time off. But as far as my faded mind can recall, I don't think in all of his defenses and years in the UFC that he has ever had to pull out of a fight? If true, then that is something. As seemingly all other champs have had too at some point it seems.

He has been fortunate in that regard, aside from breaking ribs before a fight in 2011, a fight he still too, he hasn't suffered as many injuries as a lot of other guys fighting at the highest level.

Though it was only a few weeks ago Weidman was "freaking out" because of rumors Silva was hurt and might pull out of the fight. That rumor, like Chris's rumor, was about a past injury, the ribs. You never know.

You're really doing a great job here.
Who knows how fortunate he has been. Perhaps he just doesn't complain about bumps and bruises. And perhaps he trains smarter as well. Him and the Diaz bros are some of the few fighters that rarely, if ever have pulled out of a fight. Rare in this day and age when injuries have become common occurrences each card.

Silva had surgery on his Knee just 1 month before the fight with Travis Lutter and still took the fight. I don't think it was anything major, just a scope, but that still sucks.

Funny thing think is, Travis is the one who missed weight.

And don't forget the 'injured ribs' against Chael!

Anyway, fingers crossed that this is just a rumour.

Yeah he will use it similar to how Anderson used the broken ribs excuse. An explanation for why he didn't finish the fight sooner.
