The hype surrounding this kid is kinda weird. He barely has any highlights. UFC has shown the same clip of him beating Munoz over and over again.

Is he a better wrestler than sonnen? Is he a better striker than Vitor? Does he have better bjj than Maia?

So many unanswered questions..

He's a better grappler than Anderson, thats all that matters.

He's 5-0 in the UFC MW division against top competition. As a wrestler he's beaten Phil Davis and Ryan Bader. I don't know if his BJJ is better than Maia's but Maia wasn't able to sub Weidman so that's beside the point. He's going to prove to be one of two fighters. Either he'll end up like Chad Mendes (11-0 2-0 UFC) and quickly KO'd or Cain Velasquez (9-0 7-0 UFC) and UFC champion.

Havn't commented much on this fight, but like everyone else will be watching intently. Weidman poses the same threat as Vitor did. No matter what people think of the outcome. They are the biggest threats hands down.

Weidman is fresh and will go for broke. He has nothing to lose + he has Matt Serra whispering in his ear. Anderson however does not get overconfident and treats every opponent the same which is extremely rare. He will pretty much beat you the same ESPECIALLY if he views you as a challenge. Weidman has strong jiu jitsu and a wrestling pedigree.

Not going to make any predictions on how the fight will transpire other than I think Weidman will immediately press forward threatening with strikes and then immediate takedown to dictate distance, pace, and control.

That's where I have no idea what The Spider will do. Utilize lateral movement, fall back into guard defense, guard into submission attempts, use the fence to hold himself up, or land some kind of crazy wtf counter.

The countdown begins folks.

Maximus: For the glory of the Empire, sire.

Baked, not fried... the healthy choice.

Silva will yet again make the headlines stopping another foe. Honestly, it's Anderson Silva who still hasn't shown any sign of slowing down. I have no reason to doubt he wouldn't win.

No he doesn't serra for reasons I can't remember I think because of a new kid on the way for matt, won't be in his corner which is a big blow to weidman but I still think he can win it

I agree with Weidman, he didn't even perform as well as he could have. Give him a rematch with Anderson with less of a layoff and he dominates him again, but likely in a different fashion and possibly finishes by sub next time. But he is a better fighter then Anderson. All the taunting in the world couldn't hide that fact this weekend.
