What credit does he deserve? The dude was a glorified can crusher in Bellator and is not living up to the hype he was getting in the UFC.

Going to look like a replay of Ellenberger vs Marquardt.

I have always said Lombard was overrated. But now it looks like people are underrating him or overrating Marquardt still.

I think it is a good fight. And I can't really pick a winner. But I feel like Lombard finds a KO and Maruardt gets old fast. The man is 34 with 46 fights and seems to be a past roider. Nate is no where near what he once was. They could both look mediocre and it be a crappy decision for either. I don't think Marquardt can find a stop unless Lomard gasses hard as hell.

The main reason why Yushin was able to defeat Lombard was his size and his wrestling. Do you honestly think Nate has the wrestling ability that Yushin has? Because I certainly don't. While Lombards stand up is fairly decent, I'll give Nate the edge in striking. However, with Lombards power, if Nate fails to get this fight to the ground, I think Hector will eventually catch him and knock him out. Say what you want about Lombards 3 fights in the UFC, but at some point during all of those fights, he has either rocked his opponent and almost finished them, or knocked them out. I seriously doubt Marquardts chin will hold up if he gets rocked by Lombard, especially seeing what Ellenberger did to him.

I'm not saying with absolute certainty that it will help his cardio. As a matter of fact, I preferred that he stayed at Middleweight. However, Hector Lombard knows his own body more than any of us ever will, and I'm pretty sure Hector wouldn't get with Mike Dolce with the intention of making a drop to 170 if he didn't feel like changes should be made, or are able to be made.

Unless he completely transformed his body, I assumed the change was made with a belief that he could quickly overwhelm WWs with his size and power. Stocky strikers always have a tough time when they make it to the elite ranks.

Great matchup, tough fight to pick. I don't think anyone is over rating Nate, but Lombard is very obviously underrated around here.

Lombard is underrated here. He's an explosive guy, with heavy hands, above average striking. Hes a powerful guy, decent TDD, strong Judo background, good top game
