The derp is strong with this thread.*

If any of you guys saying Weidman has a real chance, now or ever, of beating Jones are trolling, ya totally got me.

No shit, he hasn't even defended it yet and as much as I hope he does, I don't think he will. I think AS will come in just like GSP did with Serra and beat Weidman's ass. This thread is almost as meaningless as the incessant drivel about the P4P guy.

Why wouldn't Weidman have a real chance against Jones, is Jones unbeatable like Silva?

Jones wrestling is too dominant, especially his ground strikes. I am no grappling expert but he displays incredible grappling skills. His standup gets hyped because of fighters being cautious about the takedown.
At LHW the only guy I can see maybe beating Jones is Cormier. Thats Cormier fully adjusting to LHW and having two fights before facing Jones.

Weidman is too small for my liking. If Jones fought strictly standing then I can definetly see Machida, lil Nog and Mousasi beating Jones. Thats if they stand not worrying about the takedown.

Franklin,Gouveia,Maia,Kharitonov,Hunt,Liddell,Pari syan,Hardy,Shlemenko,Machida,Gomi,Bustamante,Evans ,Edgar,Hathaway,Bonnar,Murray,S.Carter,Ludwig,Pett is,K.Gill,Sobral,Mousasi,D.Cruz,Arona,Nogueiras,Co te,Ole Laursen,Kawajiri,Sakuraba & K1 Lebanner!

Because Jones is younger, taller, stronger, faster, more experienced, and better at everything except perhaps submissions.

And he's a LHW! Why is it so hard to understand that weight-classes exist for a reason?

Clearly Weidman would win. I mean, sure he's lighter, weaker, less explosive and less experienced. But he just KO'd Silva!

Will make predictions for credits. Please, I'm so broke.

That still does'nt mean Weidman wouldn't have a real chance at beating Jones. I would pick Jones to win as well but let's not forget Belfort moved up to LHW and almost submitted Jones. Weidman just made quick work of Anderson Silva which is certainly nothing to scoff at. I'd most certainly say Weidman would have a real chance at beating Jones.

I honestly can't tell at all if people are serious when they say Weidman...I mean really? Are we already headed down this path? Maybe my troll radar is not working so well this morning.

With that being said - Weidman by spinning 360 Ryu from Street Fighter kick.

He'd have a real lousy chance of beating Jones.

All you really have to hang your hat on here is Jones getting caught in armbar by Vitor, who isn't known for his submissions (he's a black belt though, so he's at least competent.) But let's not forget how that fight ended, yes? It was Jones who submitted Belfort.
