Its either somebody extremely rich who a couple million bucks means nothing to, or its some gangsters that got a hold of silva and made him throw the fight.

Its not that far fetched, I mean it was par for the course in Pride days.

Yeah, it was Seagal. We have no word from him yet why Silva lost. He probably taught Silva some wrong techniques on purpose!

I said it in the other thread and I'll say it again... If Silva was looking to throw a fight and make some money, he would have thrown the Bonnar fight. The odds are 5x more favourable and Silva wouldn't lose his belt.

Are fighters allowed to bet on themselves¿ Imaging Weidman lend himself money everywhere and did that bet himself. That would be sick.

The issue with something like this if indeed there is some funny business, is not the fighter wanting to throw the fight, its someone forcing him to throw the fight! A lot of kidnapping in Brazil, countless sports stars family have been taken, Belfort included. So while unlikely it's certainly not beyond reality that there could be a criminal element involved

I would guess it was Floyd.

He dropped $5.9 million on a bet last month.

He also bet heavily on Velasquez in the 2nd JDS fight.

They could investigate if it seemed like he was winning too much.
