Bisping has a legit shot at weidmans belt.

think about it, he is the anti wrestler. weidman will have a hard time getting tds on bisping, who is difficult to takedown let alone hold down. also bisping has cardio for days while weidmans is ?able at best. bisping also has the boxing advantage and the speed advantage. bisping also great sub defense. if he beats munoz, which he will, he should call out the champ weidman, cut a promo/talk trash and set up a blockbuster Main Event Match.

Thoughts?

Stylewise Bisping is the best configuration to beat Weideman but skillwise Weidman wins. Remember Sonnen and Evans took Bisping down and won on points. Weidman is better than Sonnen.

This is Bisping's only shot at getting the belt. He never had a chance against Anderson. And as usual, the victory would come from pitter patter shots and a split decision.

but this will be a 5 round fight where bisping may have the cardio edge in the latter rounds outstriking and stuffing weidman to a UD maybe even tko him mayhem style.

for sure, + bisping has the boxing and tdd to counter weidmans wrestling and pick him apart to a UD.

The points made are fair, and reasonable. I think Weidman steamrolls him though.

I agree, Bisping has a decent chance to beat Weidman. First he will have to win that #1 contender match though and hope Anderson doesn't beat Weidman in the rematch.

I think Bisping's got nothing for Weidman. Guys like Sonnen have trouble with Bisping because they have soft hands, Weidman would probably knock him out like Hendo did.

I don't know where this idea of Bisping as the anti-wrestler comes from.

He has fought 4 wrestlers in his entire career and basically lost to all of them. The only "win" was his SD over Hammill and we all know how much of a win that was.

He got taken down and slammed repeatedly by Rashad, Sonnen and Hammill. Hendo didn't because he was beating him on the feet and knocked him out.

Weidman does the same, except he has better GnP than any of those guys and probably finishes Bisping on the ground. Maybe Bisping survives because he has decent ground defense, scrambles and butterfly guard, but he still loses the UD.

Weidman also has better standup and power than any of the other wrestlers that beat Bisping other than Hendo, and he could KO him standing as well. Bisping was barely even in striking with Rashad, Hamill and Sonnen, Weidman is better standing up than all of them and more like Hendo.

I honestly don't see how Bisping wins this. If Anderson and Uriah hall couldn't do it then I doubt Bisping is finishing Weidman standing with the limited power he has, and it's highly unlikely he'll be able to jab him to a decision without getting taken down repeatedly.

I agree and would like him holding the belt at least for one fight.
