Huge difference between who he has beat and St. Pierre after all.
I think Brown is a great example of how your mental state can change how you fight. Brown states that he used to be afraid to lose. He was so concerned about losing that he would not engage and felt uncomfortable at times in the cage. Now he does care win or lose, he just wants to put on the best possible fight he can. You can see it in his engagements, he just wades in and throws everything he can. I don't think he will ever be champ, and I don't really think anyone else believes he will be either, but with the way he fights I would love to see him against top tier talent. Lawler, Rory, GSP, or Diaz, any of them would be great to see.

That's true and it's probably why he stuck around despite his poor record at the time. It's good that he's bringing it all together because of that fact. I like his in your face style. Him not allowing Mein to have any space when they fought was fun to watch and you could tell it was overwhelming Jordan a little. I hope he continues to grow as a fighter.

I like that mentality he has now cdtcpl, I think more guys should think like that. It may not always be the best idea if you want to win, but I could imagine some guys having more success in the UFC with that mind set. It's sad to see some talented guys struggle to let it all out inside the octagon.

I only brought up history because its funny to see a guy that got beat by Seth Baczynski and have a 1-4 slump (though he did win a few before that in the UFC) come so far in the UFC. It's actually quite refreshing to see too.

2. Glover Teixeira
3. Demian Maia

Matt Brown was impressive. Didn't seem that long ago that he was on a 3-fight skid, now he's riding one of the hottest streaks in the sport. He advances to 10 on my list and barring a crazy smashing of Nick Diaz is looking at 2 more wins to get the title shot. Not bad against a guy he admits used to whip his ass in training. Winner of Kim vs Silva would be a good opponent next, a chance to avenge a old loss or to once again silence the hype of young Silva.
