Michael McDonald

He was star of the show I watched Saturday night. Must see MMA. Making a few calls right now, again, made them in the past but with less conviction. I think he lumps up Faber and is dangerous enough to attack his top game or rise from it. I take him over Cruz when Cruz returns because I'm convinced Cruz has seen his best days and will not be as explosive or dominant when he comes back. If the same Cruz as before returns, then things will be very interesting when these tow fight. McDonald will earn another Super Fight with Barao and it will be glorious. I'd like to see him fight anyone next really, Faber, Loser of Barao vs Wineland, Dillashaw, Caraway, winner of Perez vs Mizugaki, it doesn't matter. I'm glad to see McDonald got the FotN and SotN bonuses. I thought he was the most impressive fighter on the card. Biggest Robbery of the night was this fight being a prelim while Dana put's his hype job on the Main Card.

McGregor answers a few questions. Put him in there with Nick Lentz please so we can maybe answer more. I know that is just impossible though. Lentz poses a very real threat and I seriously doubt Brock Lesnar 2 is gonna be put in front of anyone who posses those kinds of threats anytime in his next couple of fights. He might win two more against a couple of guys like Siver and Sung Jung and be gifted the title shot the way Dana is creaming his jimmies for him.

Brandao looks better every fight, in the 1st round.... He seems like a Bantam Weight to me, all the people calling for Brandao vs Mcgregor, I don't see it being very good. He would gas to Conor and be a punching bag.

Siler beat down Brown about how I thought he would. Brown was not gonna be technically all that better and it was only gonna take time for Siler to begin to dominate I thought, he just decided to finish early instead though.

Is OSP actually gonna make noise? I mean he has to eventually, but he actually looked for real Saturday.

I like MMA less because of this forum

I thought Brandao looked horrible? His cardio is shocking for his weight, he literally gasses (even when he paces himself) within 1 round. As soon as he faces anyone with even mediocre cardio he is done, unless he can catch them in the 1st.

What has happened to Mike Brown? Remember when he was a straight up killer?

I was never real big on Brown. He caught Faber in their first meeting which was a fluke. Faber literally tried some jumping spinning elbow bs and ran into a hook. Faber almost won their second fight with two broken hands throwing elbows for the bulk of the fight. Brown couldn't do anything with him.

Other than that he just beat Leonard Garcia (not a challenge) and decisioned Curran.

Got around to watch the Prelims and McGregor vs Holloway just now... Connor was like Nick Diaz 2.0 this fight, but better than Nick at it. Guy was just going off on Max. I am impressed.

He's also now 37 years old. Fighters slow down when they get to that age, he was still performing very well when he was in his early 30's, but when you get into those late 30's, and have suffered a few brutal knockouts and finishes, it starts to add up.

McGregor vs Brandao would be an awesome fight, both very exciting guys, but I think Conor would have too much for Brandao, especially considering he can push the pace and gas Brandao out early. Once Brandao's gassed Conor would absolutely maul him. Be a fun fight to watch though.
