yep i agree, from personal experience.... i noticed a definite 6pack when i reduced to 8-9%, now that im back to 10ish i only have the outline. body fat needs to be LOW to get a 6pack. well unless the person has flat out crazy abdominals.

I'm about 14.5 % BF. I have that V that shows before Abs are actually shown. But no real "abs". I'm going to work them like crazy with weighted crunches, sit ups and whatnot, as I reduce my body fat a bit more. Should have some definition with a bit of fat gone and worked out abs. ^)^

I have no proof regarding any fighters but I think many are suspect.

Given the prevalence of performance enhanement substances used in other sports I think you are naive not to believe many fighters haven't used something somewhere along the way.

I am sure there are fighters who have used anabolic steroids to recover from an injury quicker, used diuretics to cut weight, some GH to add a little muscle or some EPO to boost their cardio.

Testing is in place though and it seems the vast majority of fighters are clean.

Vitor Belfort i think had to have taken them, he was in great shape in his prime. Then when I saw him at Cage Rage he looked like he lost it all
Yes, Belfort has tested positive in Pride for 4-hydroxytestosterone last november

I think you'd be pretty naive if you didn't think that MOST fighters have (or are) doing *something*. Just in the high schools in my area, there are a LOT of people doing steroids. When you get into any sort of situation where you're not just playing for a title, but for tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, or MILLIONS of dollars, there are enough people who WILL use drugs that either you do, too, or you can be at a real disadvantage.

You look at someone like Coleman or Kerr, and say out loud "That dude does roids. No question." Then someone in the room jumps in "No, way, they'd get caught", or "He's just a genetic freak", or whatever. You look at them and say "No, man, he's on roids." They argue. You pull out the "Smashing" documentary, and hear about how they were doing all kinds of roids (not to mention everything else Kerr was - or is still - doing.)

Sure, there are some folks who probably don't - and there are a few that you look at and think "Maybe you SHOULD use some..." - but there are a lot more people using them than most folks are ready to admit. Look at the story on Vitor that someone posted - in just one Pride event, three people failed to pass the drug test, and Randleman is even charged with providing fake urine.

I think it is weird that the fighters can train everyday a couple of hours. For example, the trainng routine of bisping UFC® : Ultimate Fighting Championship®

He trains every day 4,5 hours inclusive weight training. Thats a lot i think, how is it possible to regenerate or even improve with that training. And Bisping doesnt even looks like he is on steroids.

Screw Brazil. All he has to do is drive a little south, and once he passes the line in the ground (you know where I'm talking about), there are entire districts of doctor's offices and drugstores just to sell roids (and other things) to you. You walk in the office, tell the doc you "need" them, he writes you a prescription, you walk out the door to the pharmacy (which the doc owns), and you buy the roids. Then you just have to get them back across the border.

Of course, that doesn't mean that you can't them locally, that's just the *worst-case* scenario.

Anyone can get steroids anywhere.. inside the US or not. all they need is to look hard enough and not have any reservations about using them.

Just because guys like Coleman, Kerr and Randleman are on it, doesn't mean EVERYONE has to be. In the same test that caught 3 people in pride, a bunch of others got clean slate.. Fedor among them.

Also, the point about being at a disadvantage for not using them when others are is dubious. People use that as a justification in their minds when they start down roid road, but it's not necessarily true. I mean top competitors like Fedor and CroCop and undoubtably clean, and I'd be extremely surprised if guys like Liddell are or were on roids. In a pure athletic exertion like track and field, roids will tilt the scales completely; but in an all round discipline like MMA, their advantages are countered by their disadvantages. Muscle and strength enhancing roids will almost certainly take away drastically from speed and agility.. look at Coleman, the man plods along like a truck with 4 flats, no agility whatsoever. Roids that enhance physical speed to give those "bursts" of energy take away drastically from endurance and conditioning. And all roids in general will damage the body in the long run, so frequent users will have more and more problems and side effects that non-users will never have to worry about.
