I have actually been quite happy with it. USed Cox cable for years. When I first moved to where I am now, it was Dish or a small cable company that still did not have HD channels. This was in 2008. Cox cable is the big cable company in our area but they still had not put in access in our neighborhood. They put in the fiber last year but I decided to stick with Dish, although I have been considering getting their internet service, the DSL service I have now is pretty bad. I just hate the idea of changing my email address everywhere.

I had dish two years and in that time my picture was never clear or good. I was paying for a full HD package but I could never watch it because if it was overcast the picture pixelated to the point of not being able to make out a thing. I had over twenty techs out and was constantly on the phone trying to fix it and they never did. I was constantly getting new boxes and losing my recorded shows and having to reprogram my dvr. I would have left sooner but my girlfriend at the time had Comcast and I hated it and it was the only other service.

As soon as uverse was available in my area I switched, got fiber plus more hd and just more channels than dish for cheaper. Not to mention the customer service is far superior imho, only had a few problems and everytime they have had it fixed either while I was on the phone or had it done in 48 hours if they needed to come out, which has only been twice. And I've never lost any of my recorded shows or had to reprogram the box. Plus the internet is amazing, I can stream to my roku, be on a laptop and play Xbox all at once and it supports it with barely any drop off.

Only had one box go bad in the 5 years I have used them, over nighted a new one the next day. Losing signal during storms was something I was really concerned about, but Dish goes off less often than when I was with Cox cable. It has to be a petty bad storm before it goes out. It is also cheaper than Cox. So I guess we have had totally different experiences with them.

I have Directv and zero complaints. I had Comcast/Xfinity many times in several different cities. You get the same stuff to watch for the most part but less features, worse interface and inferior hardware. But the reason I'm done with them is customer service.

I had a comcast box go bad. Call up service, get an afternoon appointment for them to fix it because they wouldn't bring a different box for some BS reason. I take the afternoon off from work because they arrive sometime in a four hour window. No body shows up. I get a call from a technician saying they need to reschedule, 6 days later. So 6 days later, same thing, I take time off of work and get no showed again. I call and they tell me I no-showed the first appointment and didn't make another appointment. I call shenanigans and they basically get two different supervisors to tell me that I am a liar and their people were there. I told them to cancel all my stuff with them right then and there. That was only the last straw, I've had other less annoying problems with them.

I like MMA less because of this forum

I have Cox cable & after a little research, this is what I found:

We are very excited that the new Fox channels are being added to our line up. This Saturday, August 17th, The Speed channel is being rebranded to the Fox Sports 1 channel and the Fuel TV channel is being rebranded to Fox Sports 2. So we hope you grab a bowl of popcorn for the premier of these new channels! I know I will.
Cox Communications facebook

That means if you already have the speed channel, you will have FS1. And if you currently have the package with Fuel tv, you will get FS2.

That's what I'm assuming. Its not a new channel. Then are just rebranding a channel they already carry. So I don't see how it will be dropped. However I have done literally no research, outside of knowing I get the channel and companies don't usually do things based on common sense.

Edit: nevermind just read an article that confirmed previous posters statements.
