Cain vs JDS UFC careers

In another thread there was a discussion about whether Cain or Jon Jones had a better resume in the UFC. Out of curiosity I clicked on a fighter that came up twice in Cain's record, JDS. The difference in class of their opponents is really quite shocking.

Before their 1st fight here is who they had beaten in the UFC

On Paper JDS's looks better but it really isn't.

Kongo>>>>>>>>>>Cro Cop

Healthy Nog not plagued by injuries>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Nelson

Cain definitely got there quicker but if JDS wasn't trained under Big Nog and fought him then he would have got there just as quick.

Cain had that blip on the way, against Kongo. If he had won that fight more convincing, I would say Cain was more impressive. But with that fight hanging there and JDS winning his fights easily, I would say JDS shades it.

I consider Cain the better fighter though. Always have. Always will.

JDS has a better career resume, most of the 7 he fought at one point or another were top 10 heavyweights.

The thing that stood out was the fact that JDS already had a guaranteed title shot, but opted to face Brock Lesnar since Cain was injured. How feckin nuts was that. Of course Carwin would sub in. Not many fighters would have done that.

JDS likes to bang. Can't believe he knocked out Hunt.

Baked, not fried... the healthy choice.
