I think Brown takes this, his pressure and power will be too much for Saff

Head-butting fists and KOing the air is not effective striking.

Maybe Brown will do great, but I typically favor a guy at least fighting someone top 10, then top 5 and then title shot.

I do think it helps the fighters. It's not so much that they have new magical super powers but they are gaining big fight experience at a more moderate pace, apposed to being flung to the top.
Well Rory is fighting Robbie Lawler. So that won't work. And Rory doesn't seem to want a title shot anyway.

He's not being flung to the top. He has won 6 fights in a row. Many in quick devastating fashion.

Weird, Don't get why they are giving Brown a step back in Terec.

I like MMA less because of this forum

But his wins aren't against the elite... he's had very dominate finishes but against guys who are either known as "crafty veterans" or "potential talent".

I'm learning to be more reserved in my judgement until someone has down something at the elite level.

Too many guys have looked unstoppable fighting lesser talent; to only be stopped immediately or look piss power as soon as they step up.

Who here is saying Matt Brown is unstoppable? No one is.

No one is saying he would even beat Condit. So not sure why you are reserving judgment.

But why can't a Brown/Condit fight happen. If you were to stick to ranking as strict as you do, there would be very few good matches. And the same 3 guys would fight for the title all the time.

Condit is 1-2 in his last 3 fights.

I never said people said Matt Brown was unstoppable. I said fighters who were thought unstoppable were stopped by top UFC competition. Because of this, I reserve my final judgment and hype for guys that have top wins.

Not sure anyone is hyping Matt brown other than himself. Certainly nobody has him as a legitimate threat to the title and at his age, im not sure hype is an appropriate word as he's been in the ufc forever.

Most people seem content for him to face top 10 competition, in particular, fighters who are gonna engage him and make it a good fight, win or lose.

I think he definitely deserves a step up in competition. I'm not concerned with whether he is a huge threat or not to GSP as most contenders get rolled over by the dominant champs regardless.

That's why there is no rush to throw him in with Condit. If he's not going to actually make a good run at the title, he's got no reason to be fighting Condit next.

There are plenty of other fights to make with the guy.

Most definitely. Even if the UFC see him as a potential future challenger, he's still 2-3 fights away from even being considered for a title shot in my eyes.

Either way, I still enjoy the shit out of Matt Brown fights and I hope he strings together a few more good wins.
