Yan Cabral signs with UFC. Fights David Mitchell at fight night 29

Another TUF Brazil 2 contestant has signed with the UFC.

Undefeated welterweight Yan Cabral makes his UFC debut on Oct. 9 against David Mitchell. UFC Fight Night 29 takes place in Barueri, Brazil, and is headlined by the welterweight contest between Demian Maia and Jake Shields. Lance! first reported the bout.

Cabral, 10-0 in MMA with 10 submissions, makes his first Octagon appearance six years after his professional debut. The jiu-jitsu ace made the second season of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil two years after submitting Kazushi Sakuraba in Japan. Cabral won two fights inside the show, but was eliminated because of a broken hand.

Coming off a knockout loss to Mike Pierce, Mitchell enters the Octagon looking to possibly save his job after three losses in four UFC bouts. His only win under the Zuffa banner happened last January when he defeated Simeon Thoresen via decision.

Check below the announced bouts for Barueri, Sao Paulo:

Demian Maia vs Jake Shields
Erick Silva vs Dong Hyun Kim
Thiago Silva vs Matt Hamill
Rony Jason vs Jeremy Stephens
Rousimar Palhares vs Mike Pierce
Raphael Assuncao vs TJ Dillashaw
Fabio Maldonado vs Joey Beltran
Hacran Dias vs Rodrigo Damm
Iliarde Santos vs Chris Cariaso
Alan Patrick vs Garett Whiteley
Yan Cabral vs David Mitchell
Really cannot wait to see this. Before he got injured on the show Yan was definitely the favorite to win TUF Brazil 2. Can definitely see him getting his 11th submission win here without a doubt.
