Good on Askren, more fighters should call out frauds like Barnett and Overeem for what they are. Barnett had nothing on Askren in that exchange.

Slapshot, you have to apply for exemption before getting popped... Also exemption has to have reasoning.

Mir has been approved by doctors to use TRT to bring him up to normal levels(although this normal level seems to be high since so many fighters are able to get TRT exemption).

Reason Diaz got 12 months and Overeem only 6 was because Diaz is a repeat offender...

I would bet more than half the fighters back in that day were on some sort of roid/banned substance. Look at Pride.

Josh popped once, and he was given a title shot directly after he got caught. So it is the UFCs fault. They didn't care.

This shit was back in 2002. I don't blame Josh. Guys in the NFL and MLB making millions STILL get popped TODAY. Back in those days of MMA guys were making peanuts and it was an underground sport. Of course they are going to get any advantage they could. There was nothing to lose other than a job that paid as much as your local store manager.

LOL, you mean like how Nate Marquardt Belfort and Sonnen got their exemptions? I dont care what the doctor says, most of the time they dont even see a endocrinologist and see some hand picked yes man.

Point blank TRT is too difficult to regulate effectively. Some of that is the nature of the treatment, some of that is the regulations.

Diaz took a banned substance that doesn't directly influence the outcome of a fight and Reem did. If you are one of those who feel TRT doesn't change the outcome of a fight then we can agree to disagree because Ive already researched and formed my opinion on the topic.

Basically if you have a medical condition that actually requires you to take TRT Im sorry but then you aren't eligible to fight professionally, end of story.

The NSAC is corrupt and they have already ruined Boxing and now they are chipping away at MMA.

I basically stopped watching and follow it casually now. But hay maybe now Ben Rothwell can drag his ass out of the first round and actually be able to fight for 2 to 4 more rounds.
