Fights to make post UFC 164

Here are my ten fight I want to see post event

10. Ryan Couture vs Joe Lauzon - Dana's adopted son vs Randy's real one in a loser leaves town match (hint Lauzon ain't losing).

9. Erik Koch vs Matt Grice - Give Grice a chance to move up in the rankings while Koch continues his Grispi-slide.

8. Dustin Poirer vs Charles Oliveira - Oliveira should win his next fight just let these two go full on HAM on a PPV opener.

7. Ben Rothwell vs Shawn Jordan - Rothwell wants Browne LOL no...lets see if Jordan can KO him.

6. Frank Mir vs Brandon Vera II - Main event cut fight, I didn't think Vera looked bad enough while Mir got dropped yet again, one of these guys doesn't belong in the UFC time to see which one.

5. Jon Lineker vs Tim Elliot - just fluidity of violence this will be a good number one contender fight.

4. Chad Mendes vs Cub Swanson II - Pettis/Aldo needs to happen so one of the four contenders (Edgar, Swanson, Lamas, Mendes) needs to get knocked out yesterday. Book Swanson/Mendes to see if Cub really has turned the corner.

3. Jamie Varner vs Donald Cerrone III - Time to end the trilogy and send one of these exciting fighters to the main card and the other to the prelims.

2. Josh Barnett vs Travis Browne - Big men engaging in big violence, the UFC is going to Singapore why not have the Pride legend face the Samoan assassin in the main event.

1. Pettis vs Aldo - No offense to TJ Grant/Ricardo(who)Lamas but this the new superfight 145/155 and it makes sense right now. Hopefully Aldo can speed up his recovery and we can get this fight on the 20 year anniversary show.

Im sorry but in no way does Pettis vs Aldo make sense....

Pettis can't be involved in any "super fights" until he defends the belt a few times, and TJ Grant is going to knock his block off

Ufc Events Attended:

Ufc Fight Night: Davis Vs Nogueira, Ufc 131, Ufc 143, Ufc 148, Ufc on Fox 5, Ufc 156, Ufc on Fox 8

TJ can fight someone else, aldo fighting lamas is a waste of time so get this fight done now and then we can move on.

Pettis should defend his belt against Aldo

Aldo deserves the next shot at 155 over Grant

Edgar > Maynard
Florian > Dunham
Mendes > Wiman
KZ > Roller
Hominick > Prater

What makes this a superfight is that both guys are realistically in title contention in each others respective divisions. Aldo/Pettis I should be at LW, Aldo/Pettis II should be at FW... having a double champion is more important than giving the flavor of the month a title shot.

Overeem vs Mir.

Barnett vs Big Foot or Werdum.

Rothwell vs Browne since he called me out although I wouldn't mind seeing Barnett vs Browne.

Vera vs Mir II was very interesting.

Pettis and Aldo would be HUGE! Don't think it's going to happen...yet.

I'd like to state one thing then I'm ignoring this talk. Grant has earned his shot at LW by beating LW fighters. Aldo has more impressive wins, but thats because he is the champion and is defending against contenders at FW.

Now to fights I want;

Hyun Gyu Lim Vs Court McGee
Kyung Ho Kang Vs Vaughan Lee
Dustin Poirier Vs Darren Elkins
Erik Koch Vs Hatsu Hioki
Anthony Pettis Vs TJ GRANT
Barnett Vs Browne
Rothwell Vs Jordan
Mendes Vs Swanson
Clay Guida Vs Nik Lentz
Mir Vs Gonzaga
Vera vs Reem

TJ Grant's record of UFC LW's he's beaten 27-17-2

Maynard 9-2-2
Dunham 7-4
Wiman 9-5
Prater 0-2
Roller 2-4

Jose Aldo's record of UFC LW's he's beaten 23-9-1

Edgar 9-3-1
Florian 9-3
Hominick 2-0
Gamburyan 2-3
Brookins 1-0

Aldo's defeated two of the ten greatest LW's of all time, Grant has just beaten a top tener in Maynard. Aldo's beaten a significantly higher class of LW opposition at FW than Grant's won at LW.

TJ Grant won the right to face Benson Henderson, because Henderson beat a number of other contenders and those contenders did not earn rematches. He is not the number one contender to fight Anthony Pettis.

9. Hyun Gyu Lim vs Brandon Thatch - Two big welterweight prospects going at it.

8. Rothwell vs Overeem - If Overeem can't get past Rothwell he should get cut.

7. Vera vs Barry - Should be a good stand-up battle.

6. Chad vs Swanson - Next title contender.

5. Guida vs Edgar - Frankly I don't want to see Guida fight anymore. If I had to, I would put him against Edgar just to see him get smashed.

4. Barnett vs Browne - Fight for a title shot? I don't mind. Put this as the co-main in the Singapore card and give us a title fight as the ME!

3. Mir vs Bigfoot Silva - Both coming off losses. We either get a fantastic ground battle or a knockout. Can't go wrong with this one.

2. Henderson vs Maynard - Throw one of them back into title contender status.

1. Pettis vs TJ Grant - I'd rather see Aldo vs Pettis, but Grant should get his shot first.

Anderson Silva
Aldo - Dos Anjos - Mayday - Weidman - Machida - Jones

Actually this is a pretty good list. Mir vs BG or The Reem would be good.
