Ed Herman vs. Rafael Natal added to November's UFC 167 lineup

A middleweight contest between fighters building on "Fight of the Night" wins has been added to the UFC 167 lineup, as Ed Herman meets Rafael Natal.

UFC officials today announced the new booking.

Featuring a welterweight title fight between longtime champ Georges St-Pierre and top contender Johny
Hendricks, UFC 167 takes place
Nov. 16 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and the main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and Facebook. Herman (21-9 MMA, 8-6 UFC) vs. Natal (17-4-1 MMA, 5-2-1 UFC) is likely to be part of the preliminary card.

"The Ultimate Fighter 3" finalist Herman has been competing in the UFC for more than seven years. However, after disappointing performances against Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza and Jake Shields, Herman
found himself in need of a positive result. He did exactly that with a hard-fought decision win against Trevor Smith at July's UFC on FOX 8 event that saw both fighters earn an extra $50,000 for the "Fight of the Night" effort.

Meanwhile, Natal is enjoying the best UFC run of his career with three straight wins and a 5-1 mark in his past six appearances. Most recently, the Brazilian fought in his home country in a thrilling bout with Tor Troeng, which Natal won by decision. While Natal was in control for most of the fight, the action was entertaining from start to finish as Troeng showed incredible heart and refused to quit. Both fighters were also awarded a "Fight of the Night" check.

With the addition to the card, UFC 167 now includes:
Champ Georges St-Pierre vs. Johny Hendricks - for welterweight title
Rashad Evans vs. Chael Sonnen

Frank Mir vs. Alistair Overeem

Robbie Lawler vs. Rory MacDonald
Josh Koscheck vs. Tyron Woodley
Donald Cerrone vs. Evan Dunham

Brian Ebersole vs. Rick Story
Edwin Figueroa vs. Erik Perez
Ed Herman vs. Rafael Natal
I hope Herman wins this fight.
