I'd have preferred to see Browne Vs Miocic and Barnett Vs Werdum. Browne might well beat Barnett, but Josh is a much bigger draw, and an old guard fight with Werdum would be good while Browne and Miocic are chasing title shots for the new breed.

Man they're feeding Browne some top notch fighters one after another.

Browne needs his range. He's useless in the clinch especially against a master grappler. Barnett manipulates his body and head so he can't land anything damaging. The way he just man handled Mir was pretty narly!

Once he gets the top position I do believe Barnett will finish him.

Reem, Werdum, JDS, and Cain pose interesting challenges to Barnett. But I definitely see Barnett as a contender.

They should have put Reem and Mir on this card. I don't think Mir should get cut if he loses, but Reem would probably be out.

Has Werdum ever fought at LHW or is he able to? If HW doesnt work out, I don't think it's impossible to see him getting a submission on Jones.

Don't think so really. He seems like a big dude.

Is he tall? He's carrying a bit of weight but he's not ripped or anything. He's probably got a bit more to close on him than Cain would, although if he's like 6'4 or something surprising then it'd be a different story.

I could wikipedia, but naaaah.

Werdum is a big HW. He is big in what Bigfoot is big in, although less dramatic. They both have long, heavy bones. With sparse muscle and only a little flab he still weights 245 or there bouts. WOuld be hard on him at that age, to perhaps cut for teh first time in a long long time, if ever.

Barnett should take this.
He's a smart fighter and will neutralize Browne everywhere the fight goes.

I share the sentiment that Barnett vs. Werdum should happen.

Browne vs Miocic made no sense, knocking out one of the two top prospects in a fight that wouldn't even give us a title fight was just bad matchmaking.

Come to think about it Browne vs Barnett is the best number 1 contenders fight since... probably Gonzaga/Cro-Cop. Both guys have earned shots, in the top ten with neither guy coming off a loss.
