Jesus christ Jon Fitch... cry me a river. You know what else you could have done for those 7 years.... ANYTHING ELSE. If you do not feel you are being appropriately compensated for your efforts... LEAVE

Is this dude seriously crying about making over $100k a year? A gross majority of people will never make that in their working careers.

Further more, in the list in the beginning, showing hundreds of people who made $3,000-4,000. I didn't recognize anyone of their names. Just showing up to fight doesn't earn you Jon Jones money... If you're not a draw who is putting asses in seats and making PPV buys, what are you expecting here?

Sorry, the janitor doesn't make what the star salesman does.

This is an old ESPN story. They are known to fabricate stories for the sake of ratings. Especially the Outside The Lines(OTL) program, which is where this came from.

Over 100k for how many fights too. Like 3? 4? And never a title in his hands.

These guys are looking at Jon Jones, a dude who does a magazine shoot almost every day, and complaining that they don't have what he has. They shouldn't be complaining about lacking the money, they should be complaining about lacking the skills.

Lets just put it this way, how many UFC fighters currently are Olympic Gold Medallists? At her last boxing championships, Olympic Gold Medallist Katie Taylor stayed in a tent. I think these guys have a fair bit to go before they can complain about monetary gains.

#868 Tiki Ghosn and #834 Jeff Joslin may be most well known. Others like #833 Jason Thacker, #814 Andy Wang, #803 Scott Junk were on TUF.

Look it simple as this. The majority of ufc fighters are GREATLY underpayed. The whole point of this video wasn't just how much the fighters were making but how much the ufc was making in comparison to the fighters. And seriously shame on fitch? Like you really think him making 100k+ a year is alot? Comparing to how much he spends on his camp, his gym, traveling for training and every other thing that comes with being a pro, it is not alot at all. The point is this simple - he was for like a 5 year period the #2 WW in the world and he made shit. Boring or not.

Here's the truth that most fans dont freaking understand, You want the sport to grow? You want to see better fighters? It all starts at fighter pay. Why would a guy rather go pro in football, soccer, or basketball rather than mma? Because there gonna make 100x the money they would doing mma. Unless of course they are the #1 fighters in their weight class, its not even going to be comparable. Of course their are other reasons to why people go pro in different sports but the money you make it a huge influence in where you decide to go in life. When you hear the word "professional" in sports, you assume the guy is making good money. Except if you're talking about a mma fighter (which is fair, its growing) then you'd probably doubt that they had alot of money. But the difference is when you talk about an mma fighter in the UFC. The UFC is a BILLION dollar company. BILLION!!! Put it this way, the UFC is the most valuable sports franchise in the world. It's worth more than the dallas cowboys or the new york yankees. Now look how much their players get payed.

Except the Cowboys don't have 400(ish) people to pay... Look at boxing if you want a proper analogy, on a Mayweather PPV the guys at the bottom make maybe 4000 if they're lucky, while Floyd pays himself $8 million or more.

First off, I don't think anybody making over $170,000 a year has a right to be complaining about anything, regardless of what your job is. Secondly Fitch has nobody to blame but himself for his low pay. Had he finished more fights he would have earned more bonuses, had he been more exciting he would have had more drawing power. He fought to win and only to win, his pay reflected that. Theres a reason why Chuck would pull $500,000 a fight.
