Dana:

"People keep asking me if they're going to be the coaches (for TUF Brazil 3). I can't have a Brazilian within 10 feet of Chael Sonnen in America," White said during a press conference in Brazil on Monday. "Imagine bringing Chael Sonnen here for six weeks. I don't think he'd make it."

"I don't have to tell you guys, I stood here what was it a year and a half ago with Anderson (Silva) sitting here, and Chael (Sonnen) sitting here saying horrible things about this country and about the people and about him," White said. "Brazilians do not like Chael Sonnen."

Although every discipline is important, they don't really need "that quality of wrestling training" when they can have "that quality of Jiu Jitsu training" instead. Apart his recent win over Shogun's counterfeit copy, historically, Chael himself knows very well these mentioned skill set holes in Brazilian fighters didn't prove enough to grant him a win over the Braziliam competition he fought against, since he tapped to Babalu, Paulo Filho, Maia and Anderson.

I thought this kind of blasphemous talk was banned from the forum by now? These things happened in the long long ago, during the evil times.

Yes, that's true, because nowadays wrestlers train BJJ for their lives and on top of that they overtrain wrestling just to keep the fight standing no matter what.

Seriously, Anderson is the poster boy of this Brazilian wrestling deficiency. He is a Muay Thay fighter, crying out loud and the BJJ he learned down the road granted him sub victories against decorated wrestlers.

Not saying a Brazilian TUF new comer should refuse to be trained by Sonnen in any way. That would be a dumb, dumb move. I watched some videos of Sonnen instructing and I liked a lot. He looks like a passionated intructor with his pupils.

Actually they do need that wrestling training because having a glaring hole in your game doesn't work and Chael s losses to brazilians prove that.

That's a fair assessment and I agree with that. As I said, it is important to train everything.
