A good striker would light Davis up honestly, but she does match up well with Rhonda, since Rhonda can't really strike for shit. The armbar would not be so easy, i think the same about Car Zingano-Rousey too.

She wanted nothing to do with rolling with davis or the clinch for good reason davis is dangerous from those positions. She was more concerned with avoiding the ground game of davis, underestimated her stand up and paid for it IMO.
Fights are dangerous. If you are afraid of getting hurt you shouldn't be fighting. In fighters don't have the luxury of fighting from the outside that is just the way it is and her coaches should have realized that. If your entire skill set is suited to one way of fighting then you have to fight that way. You usually only decrease your chances of winning trying to do things you aren't good at.

I was wondering why Davis, with all her mentioned pedigree, didn't exploit the striking situation better. With Carmouche being afraid of those inside leg kicks and reacting to Davis' set ups for them, I don't understand why Davis didn't feint those inside leg kicks more to fire her shots somewhere else.

I sometimes talk to the fighters wile im watching, if I'm at home. I was like my god throw a HLK and end it. Im not sure why she didnt uncork one or two or why her corner didn't ask for it but I was thinking she should have thrown it as well.

Davis has technical striking skills but her bread and butter is the ground game.

Carmouche is just a overrated fighter IMO.
