I treat P4P differently than most of ppl.

Pound for pound. So when everybody was same weight who would WIN fights. Not who will be more skilled or more flashy. Just win.

In that regard I would put my money on Cain. I think he can prepare for any fighter in any division and manhandle him.

@Atilak
Yeah, and in that case we of course (as default) talk about the active fighter right now, not how the fighter was 2 years ago or 5 years ago.

If I say "I think GSP would kick Anderson Silvas if they faced at catchweight" I mean the TODAY GSP vs the TODAY Silva.

That is very different from saying "I think a prime GSP would win against a prime Anderson Silva" or "I think 3 years ago GSP would have beaten Anderson Silva".

Cain is a monster and he'll be #1-2 P4P in a few years, mark my words. The guy is an animal. I'm not big on P4P lists but yeah, the guy is a monster.

I certainly don't think Cain has a glass jaw...he's only ever been KO'd and hurt standing by JDS..

I would rank him above Silva at this point. I do understand how he is number 3 after his last fight. Cain should be number 3 at least, or maybe number 2. Aldo should be number 5.

Kongo tagged him pretty bad as well IIRC.

I don't think he has a glass jaw either, although IIRC, Kongo had him on queer street a few times.

It's the same as when guys say that GSP's jaw is suspect-- when the dude has been KO'd a total of one time in a storied career.

lol, a 30-25 mauling in only his 6th pro fight, yeah so desperate. Cain ate Kongo's best punches, kept coming forward and dominated him everywhere, stuffed his takedowns, slammed him over his head, took his back multiple times, mounted him, nasty GnP, was looking for chokes. Kongo was the only desperate fighter in the match, same as every single other opponent Cain has had.

Cain got dropped by punches and therefore shot in on takedowns. that's desperate. However, I'm not complaining, he did what he had to do.

Taking a guy down is desperate recourse? I recall Kongo tried to take Cain down after getting off of those punches and got reversed, another time Cain got punched twice, popped up and had Kongo on his butt before Kongo even had a chance to capitalize. Composure and recovery ability =/= desperation. Effectively responding to your opponents offense =/= desperation. Cain successfully responded to those strikes in one of the ways he should of, removing his opponents ability to offend.
