UFC officials announced the match-up on Tuesday.

McCall, who was forced to withdraw last week due to a hand injury, posted a photo of the gruesome damage on The UG and stated that he hoped to return within "six weeks or faster."

In his place steps in Dodson (15-6), the No. 2 ranked UFC flyweight who recently cemented his status with a blistering ‘Knockout of the Night' performance against newcomer Darrell Montague at UFC 166.

Overall Dodson has won six of his last seven contests, defeating a who's who list which includes John Moraga, T.J. Dillashaw, Tim Elliott, Jussier Formiga and Montague, sandwiched between a lone, narrow decision loss to UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson.

Jorgensen (14-7), meanwhile, hopes a change in weight class proves to be the remedy for his recent troubles. The 5-foot-4 former bantamweight contender has dropped three of his past four fights, though all three have come against top-5 fighters Renan Barao, Urijah Faber and Eddie Wineland.

UFC on FOX 9 takes place December 14, 2013 at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, CA.
Great fight I think Dodson takes it.

Great replacement.

What was an awesome fight, still remains an awesome fight. Hope Jorgensen takes it though.

I like Jorgensen but I see this being a hard fight for him. I don't see Dodson losing to anyone not named Demetrious Johnson.

Very hard fight for Jorgensen. Dodson is a beast that's probably going to beat him down pretty good. Welcome to 125, Jorgensen.

Yeah either opponent would be a "rough" welcome to the division, though I see Dodson as the hardest fight for Jorgensen ATM.

I think we can all agree that his job did not get any easier in the slightest :P

This will be a good fight if Jorgensen makes 125 without issue.

Haha no kidding. I know Jorgensen probably isn't thinking this, but if I were in his shoes, I'd be like "aw, McCall pulled out? Well, at least I'll get an easier first fight so I can settle into the division." Dodson steps in. "Aw s**t."

Poor guy can't catch a break either way, but on the bright side, a win would catapult him to the front of the line.

Jorgensen is tough as hell, i am not 100% sure Dodson will be knocking him out... If this was 5 i would pick Jorgensen.
