John Dodson asked for a quick turnaround after his latest victory, and he got it. The TUF 14 winner has agreed to replace an injured Ian McCall against flyweight newcomer Scott Jorgensen at UFC on FOX 9.

UFC officials announced the match-up on Tuesday.

McCall, who was forced to withdraw last week due to a hand injury, posted a photo of the gruesome damage on The UG and stated that he hoped to return within "six weeks or faster."

In his place steps in Dodson (15-6), the No. 2 ranked UFC flyweight who recently cemented his status with a blistering ‘Knockout of the Night' performance against newcomer Darrell Montague at UFC 166.

Overall Dodson has won six of his last seven contests, defeating a who's who list which includes John Moraga, T.J. Dillashaw, Tim Elliott, Jussier Formiga and Montague, sandwiched between a lone, narrow decision loss to UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson.

Jorgensen (14-7), meanwhile, hopes a change in weight class proves to be the remedy for his recent troubles. The 5-foot-4 former bantamweight contender has dropped three of his past four fights, though all three have come against top-5 fighters Renan Barao, Urijah Faber and Eddie Wineland.

UFC on FOX 9 takes place December 14, 2013 at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, CA.
Great fight I think Dodson takes it.

Great replacement.

What was an awesome fight, still remains an awesome fight. Hope Jorgensen takes it though.

I like Jorgensen but I see this being a hard fight for him. I don't see Dodson losing to anyone not named Demetrious Johnson.

I love all three guys as fighters, so no bad can happen by combining them in any way. Great fight before, great fight now

Very hard fight for Jorgensen. Dodson is a beast that's probably going to beat him down pretty good. Welcome to 125, Jorgensen.

Yeah either opponent would be a "rough" welcome to the division, though I see Dodson as the hardest fight for Jorgensen ATM.

I think we can all agree that his job did not get any easier in the slightest :P

This will be a good fight if Jorgensen makes 125 without issue.

Haha no kidding. I know Jorgensen probably isn't thinking this, but if I were in his shoes, I'd be like "aw, McCall pulled out? Well, at least I'll get an easier first fight so I can settle into the division." Dodson steps in. "Aw s**t."

Poor guy can't catch a break either way, but on the bright side, a win would catapult him to the front of the line.

Jorgensen is tough as hell, i am not 100% sure Dodson will be knocking him out... If this was 5 i would pick Jorgensen.
