Wouldn't of gave Cruz much of a chance if he was healthy. Coming off 2 years of layoff, I see Barao starching him. Cruz's best weapon is his movement and output. With ruining his knee twice, I see much of that weapon being taken away or at least not as good as it was.
Best believe this is a huge fight for Barao. He is the BW champ, yet Cruz still has that title. While Barao gets called the interim champ. Barao will be ready to destroy.
Plus anytime you get 2 top fighters spending a camp together to fight on the same card...they seem to be better prepared. These guys will push eachother and both be very ready for this card.
I dont even see it as a fight Cruz should take immediately, huge layoff, cage rust, injury, its just all tilting in Barao's favor and he's a fighter that didn't need any favors to be a serious challenge to the champ to begin with.
I feel like if Cruz loses (and im assuming he will) then we dont really know how it would have panned out if Cruz was in top condition. People can say they know it would have ended the same way but thats too many assumptions IMO.
